'A police report says officers were breaking up a crowd at the water park Sunday night when Washington "reached for and displayed a gun while sitting inside his vehicle, just feet away from officers."'

'The Bills selected Washington, a Cincinnati native, in the third round of the 2016 draft. The Ohio State product started 11 games last season, making 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks.'

'This is Washington's second arrest in less than two years. The Cincinnati native was arrested while a student-athelete at Ohio State in December, 2015 when he attempted to solicit a prostitute. He was suspended for the Fiesta Bowl by head coach Urban Meyer.'

'The 36-year-old running back will be participating in the Spring League, a summer showcase for former NFL players to hopefully catch the eye of an organization, and get a second shot at joining the league.'

'The Sharonville Police Department tells NFL.com that Washington has a concealed carry permit that is valid in Ohio, but that he is being charged for a violation of Ohio's concealed carry law.'

'"Suspect reached for and displayed a gun while sitting inside his vehicle; Just feet away from officers. The suspect did not inform officers beforehand," reads the Sharonville arrest report.'

'Buffalo Bills cornerback, Ronald Darby, is headed into his third year in the league. With Stephon Gilmore headed to the New England Patriots, Darby moved to the top of the team’s cornerback depth chart. With that, Darby may be asked to cover more prominent receivers than he has had to in the past.'

'The 2017 supplemental draft will take place on Wednesday, July 12. Georgia Military College defensive lineman Tavares Bingham and Western New Mexico running back Marques Rodgers will be eligible for Wednesday's draft, but neither is expected to be selected.'

'“Having the ability of guys like Micah hyde, who has done the true primary player in poor conditions in Green Bay, to have a young rookie come in like T. White who had great production at LSU… the more guys you have that have that ability, based on the course of the game, If we’d been playing a game this spring, you may have seen two maybe three guys on the field as a punt return group based on situation because they all have great abilities to handle the pressure,” said special teams coordinator Danny Crossman. “They’ve done it in big games and a lot of times they’ve done it in poor environments, weather wise.”'

'The battle at linebacker is completely wide open. With a mixture of rookies and veterans with various limitations, this position is shaping up to be the best battle of training camp.'

'What's for certain is that they'll have plenty of cap room in 2018, about $80 million worth, and will rely heavily on a roster loaded with young players for the foreseeable future. That's quite a change from 2015, when the Jets paid $168 million to five players. That included cornerback Darrelle Revis, one of the prominent names in this year's purging.'

'For best player — as in pure talent, athleticism, and production — I'll go with Bruce Smith. He has few pass-rushing peers in the history of the game; none when it comes to most sacks, of course. For that matter, he's on the short list of players at any position capable of having the most consistent dominance.'
