'One fan responded to Watkins' tweet telling him that the Bills would win a championship if the receiver could stay healthy. Watkins' response? Buffalo is winning it all regardless of his health in 2017.'

'Watkins, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2014 draft, also retweeted NFL player promoter Jake Steinberg, who wrote, "NFL players have the right to be pissed. They get the smallest piece of the pie. NFL has $12B in annual revenue; NBA has $5B."'

'The good news for Watkins is that as long as the salary cap continues to go up, then NFL players will get paid more. On the other hand, if Watkins is hoping that NFL salaries will one day pay as much as NBA salaries, he's going to be waiting a long time because it's never going to happen.'

'He is in the early stages of creating a culture that can sustain and put the Bills in position to be in that playoff mix in the coming years. With that as a springboard, count me in the "yes" category of the Bills snapping that playoff drought before 2019. As an annual visitor to western New York for the Patriots-Bills rivalry, it's always great to see how much the city supports the team. The fans deserve to taste some success after this playoff drought, and I'm a believer that McDermott is the leader to help the franchise snap the skid.'
