'Williams is viewed as a day three prospect in the 2017 NFL draft. NFL.com's draft page notes that Williams plays bigger than his height (6'1"), shows physicality and does a good job of using his body as a shield on contested passes. Despite these strengths, Williams is viewed as a developmental wide receiver.'

Friday Feels: 5 thoughts on the Buffalo Bills
'Let’s get to real football talk (Sorry folks, it’s April). At quarterback, the Bills have Tyrod Taylor starting with Cardale Jones backing up. There’s a need for a third. Should that third guy be a backup or a draft rookie? Why not both? If there’s a guy you like on the board, where ever it may be, grab him.'
McDermott: I'm always trying to learn
'“I’m a big believer in learning and continuing to grow,” McDermott told Murphy and co-host Donald Jones. “For me, personally, I don't think you’ll ever get there. You chase it, right? But I don't think you ever get there, wherever ‘there’ is, wisdom-wise. And so I'm always trying to learn and trying to grab a piece of competitive advantage for myself and our staff and this football team.”'
Report: Bills have LB Justin Durant in for visit
'At this point in Durant's career, I don't know that we should expect him to come in and be the starting player that he once was through the four different destinations of his career. Even if he doesn't play, he's a clear fit for Sean McDermott's 4-3 defensive scheme and would add some much-needed depth to the position.'
Bills Today: Bills new defensive scheme based on clear rules
'“I’m of the opinion and philosophy suited with ‘less is more,’” said McDermott. “Giving the players very clear lines to play. Giving them a set of rules, putting them in a position to be successful, working to their strengths – and when things break down in a game, which they often will, they have rules to fall back on. I just believe that clear expectations, clear lines and letting the players go play and have fun.'
NFL Mock Draft No. 3 (4/6/17)
'That's right, for the second straight time, I have the Buffalo Bills trading out of 10th overall.'
Sean McDermott invited seven franchise greats to dinner Tuesday
'"I'm watching football. I'm playing football, and those are the role models of that time," he told The News on Wednesday afternoon. "They were quite impressionable in terms of what they did on the field." To have dinner with them "was just quite an honor."'
3 reasons the Bills should draft: Villanova OT Brad Seaton
'He might be even bigger than listed. While nfl.com's scouting profile of Seaton has him at 6-foot-7, other websites list him at 6-8 or even 6-9. Although he comes from a smaller conference, Seaton didn't look out of place at the College Gridiron Classic, using his size and strength to keep pass rushers at bay.'
Tim Graham's Power Take: Don't be surprised if Bills GM Doug Whaley stays through 2017
'Insiders note McDermott already has made football operations more intelligent and more professional with a clearer plan. For now, that still includes Whaley.'
Jay Skurski's Power Take: Rex Ryan's TV act will soon wear thin
'Is he truly going to speak his mind on ESPN? Or will he bite his tongue in hopes of landing another coaching gig down the road? I’d bet on the latter.'
Buffalo Bills' Bruce Smith named second best No. 1 pick of the common draft era
'"The NFL's sack king deserves this high ranking, especially because Bruce Smith provided 15 Hall of Fame seasons for the team that drafted him. Hard to believe now, but people questioned the Bills' decision back in 1985. Smith's 200 sacks are beyond question, as are his eight first-team All-Pro selections and 11 Pro Bowl nods. Oh, he also was Defensive Player of the Year twice and was named to two different All-Decade teams by the Hall of Fame. So basically, he deserves to be above the quarterbacks on this list. Except one."'
Buffalo Bills to host Colorado safety Tedric Thompson on Thursday (report)
'Thompson was a three year starter at Colorado. He finished the 2016 season with 63 total tackles, seven interceptions and 16 passes defensed. Based on his play during his senior season, Pro Football Focus named Thompson college football's best coverage defender.'
2017 NFL Mock Draft: Mel Kiper and Todd McShay make 2 picks for Buffalo Bills
'With the No. 10 pick, Kiper has the Bills selecting Alabama tight end O.J. Howard, the type of weapon the Bills could use in the passing game and a perfect yin to Charles Clay's yang. McShay predicts the Bills will select Ohio State cornerback Marshon Lattimore, who would slide right into Buffalo's starting lineup across from Ronald Darby.'
For Kyle Williams, returning to play was 'an easy sell' after talking with McDermott
'“I would say it didn’t take much,” the longest-tenured member of the Bills said Monday after the team’s first offseason workout. “We talked for a couple minutes and I was like, ‘hey I’m in, lets do it.’ I wasn’t a hard sell or anything like that because I think you guys know how passionate I am about playing the game, my teammates, this organization, and this community. To have a guy that speaks to a lot of the things that I like, it was really kind of an easy sell.”'
McShay: CB an urgent need for Bills. Lattimore is top guy
'The one black mark on Lattimore's resume is that he has dealt with hamstring issues throughout college. He missed his entire freshman season, and missed six games his red-shirt freshman year due to hamstring surgery. To add to that, you may remember he came up limping after his forty yard dash at last months NFL combine. Because of these hamstring issues, Lattimore played just 20 games in college and decided to come out as a 3 year sophomore. So, while his sample size looks great, it is small.'
