'The Buffalo Bills have added pieces in free agency, from recent signing of depth quarterback TJ Yates to addressing holes on the defense with signing such as defensive back Micah Hyde. Still, the Bills have more to fill and have at least six more players en route to Buffalo via the draft.'

A look back at the best and the worst of Buffalo Bills drafts
'Worst Pick: Aaron Maybin, first round, 2009. Sadly, there are so many flops from which to choose.'
Source: Bills still deciding on Watkins' 5th year option
'While exercising the option seems like a slam-dunk by most analysts and observers (and I still believe the Bills will ultimately do it), I’m told the reason the team has yet to decide is because the option is guaranteed against injury. Since the Clemson product entered the league in 2014 he’s had numerous ailments that have kept him off the field. He’s missed 11 games the past two seasons, including eight last year after breaking a bone in his foot and is currently recovering from a second surgery he had in January to repair that foot.'
Examining the Bills' current salary cap situation
'‚ÄãAs it stands right now, the 51st salary on the roster is CB Kevon Seymour's $565,089. The next-lowest salary is $540K, which is the amount of a veteran minimum deal for a player with exactly one year experience. So, essentially, any player signed to more money than that right now will count for his normal cap hit minus $540K, since that $540K will then fall below the top-51 threshold. Once a new threshold is established the player will count his cap number less that new amount.'
NFL Mock Draft No. 4 (4/13/17)
'S Jamal Adams, LSU.'
Bills Today: McDermott's message well-received in Bills locker room
'"The vision is to compete every day. That starts with me," McDermott said. "I get up every day trying to earn the right to win. I believe in that process, and in this business it's six inches the difference between winning and losing every week. I think the average margin of victory in the NFL last year was plus-or-minus-10 points. The margin for error is very small, and that means we have to out-work our opponents."'
Bills host free-agent CB Shareece Wright
'Wright spent the past two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.'
Former Bills VP of College Scouting Tom Modrak passes
'“T-Mo was one of a kind," Bills managing partner and president Russ Brandon said in a statement released by the team. "I’m grateful for the relationship we shared during our time in Buffalo. He was a great competitor, had a wonderful sense of humor and had a great perspective on life in the NFL. I always appreciated his text messages reminding me that ‘life is all about making memories.’'
Jerry Sullivan's Power Take: I thought it was a bad QB class
'There's virtually no chance any of the top QBs will be there in the second round. They could trade up, but they have limited resources. There's a one-year out in Taylor's latest extension, so they could take a QB at 10 and let him sit behind Tyrod for a year.'
Mark Gaughan: Honorable Tom Modrak was a gray man in Bills' drought
'What kind of job did Modrak do for the Bills? That's where it gets gray. Not good enough, for sure. That's a fact for everybody involved with the football administration of the franchise the past 17 years. But it's hard to make too many definitive statements about Modrak's contributions to the Bills' because he never was the one in full control of the team's personnel.'
3 reasons the Bills should draft: Notre Dame QB DeShone Kizer
'He moves extremely well for his size. Kizer is nimble enough on his feet to slide and shuffle in the pocket to extend plays. He has great open-field quickness that allows him to run away from defenders and make big plays. But when moving behind the line, Kizer consistently maintains poise and constantly keeps his eyes downfield. He has had 18 rushing touchdowns in the last two seasons.'
Former Buffalo Bills personnel executive Tom Modrak dies
'Modrak came to the Bills in 2001, shortly after that year’s NFL Draft. He rejoined Tom Donahoe, who was then in his first year as the Bills’ general manager, after the two had worked together for several years with the Pittsburgh Steelers. When Donahoe was fired following the 2005 season, Modrak was retained, and he went on to run the Bills’ drafts until his dismissal in 2011.'
Buffalo Bills host Alabama cornerback Marlon Humphrey on pre-draft visit (report)
'Humphrey is a prospect that could start immediately in Sean McDermott's zone coverage defense.'
Extension talks ongoing between Buffalo Bills and RB Mike Gillislee (report)
'Although the Bills could have Gillislee play 2017 on his tender of $1.797 million, Tony Pauline of Draft Analyst reported on Wednesday night that the two sides are in talks on an extension.'
Buffalo Bills host CB Shareece Wright on free agent visit
'Pro Football Focus ranked Wright as their 75th best cornerback last season with a grade of 66.0. His greatest strength, according to the analytics site, was in run defense. Wright's run defense grade was a 77.3.'
