'A post game show caller asserts that EJ Manuel has not received a fair shake from the Bills. A raw deal, even. I thank him for calling and disagree with his assessment in a calm, almost serene fashion. I'm not really sure who I am at this point and also feel like I may have let some of our audience, those who might've been looking forward to my mind being run through a wood chipper, down. I'm so sorry. I'll try to do better in the future.'

'Anthony Lynn didn’t deserve the effort that took place, both mentally and physically, from many of his players at MetLife Stadium. I really believed going into the game players would try to show and prove they are a better team than one that had its head coach fired. But that didn’t happen. There were glaring physical mistakes and mental errors. And there was simply no energy on the sidelines all afternoon. It was as bad as it appeared from TV and on the scoreboard. If not for the Jets missing on a couple fourth down opportunities, it might have been a lot worse.'

'Manuel finished the game 9-for-20 for 86 yards with his inaccuracy still a glaring problem for the quarterback.'

'It will be interesting to learn at tomorrow’s presser just what Whaley has in mind at the position. It looks to me like Jones is at least a season, if not longer, away from being ready. Taylor has said he’d prefer to stay in Buffalo, so maybe Whaley is playing hardball in order to restructure Taylor’s contract again. Or maybe the reports are true that they’ve already moved on from him.'

Groundhog Day continues in Buffalo. Our main focus of course for the immediate future will be tracking the coaching search.'

'Interim coach Anthony Lynn confirmed on Friday that rookie QB Cardale Jones would serve as the backup to EJ Manuel in the season finale against New York, raising the likelihood of Taylor being inactive for the game.'
