Report card
'This was a complete no show by the Bills, an effort befitting a team that will miss the playoffs for a 17th straight season. So much for Anthony Lynn lighting a fire under this group’s collective behind. All three phases made colossal mistakes, and the Bills looked like a team running for the bus, not caring one bit about what took place at MetLife Stadium. Rex Ryan is gone, so this is Doug Whaley’s trash heap now. It’s going to be a long, bumpy off-season.'
Marcell Dareus hopes he can convince Buffalo Bills' Kyle Williams to not retire
'"I have a lot of things to process as far as the season and trying to figure those things out," Williams said. "As far as moving forward, we'll see. There's a whole lot of guys in here who aren't going to be here, whether it's retirement or they're moving in a different direction. It could be a whole number of things. I just worry about the things I can control. Heal up a little bit. Spend some time with the family and really evaluate the year and always look to get better."'
Anthony Lynn says Buffalo Bills' head-coaching job would be his No. 1 choice
'"This is where I want to be is right here with the Buffalo Bills," Lynn said. "So this would be my No. 1."'
Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins leaning toward not having surgery on injured foot
'"My body's feeling good," Watkins said. "We're really going to have physicals and go over it on what we want to do, and honestly, I think I'm fine. I think I finished the season and got out what I wanted, which was finishing it. I'm really going to listen to what the staff has to tell me and go from there."'
What Cardale Jones had to say about his Buffalo Bills debut
'"It felt good, but I wish the outcome was different," Jones said after the game.'
Buffalo Bills 2017 schedule: List of opponents finalized
'Next year, the Bills play against the NFC South and the AFC West. They won't have quite as much travel as they did in 2016 when they made three trips to the west coast.'
Buffalo Bills fail to pick up New York Jets' kickoff, giving Jets easy TD
'New York had just extended its lead to 23-3 in the fourth quarter and Nick Folk kicked the ball to Buffalo's 15-yard line. Mike Gillislee appeared to be responsible to field the kick, but he failed to do so and the ball bounced all the way into the end zone. Gillislee still had time to recover the ball but stopped himself and allowed the Jets' Doug Middleton to recover the ball for a Jets touchdown.'
Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy carted off with ankle injury in meaningless finale
'McCoy finishes the season with 1,623 yards from scrimmage and 14 total touchdowns. He was voted to his fifth Pro Bowl and will be 29 years old at the start of next season.'
Kyle Williams unsure of future with Buffalo Bills according to CBS' Andrew Catalon
'Williams entered today's game with 63 tackles and five sacks. He's been named to four Pro Bowl teams in his career with the Bills and was a first-team All-Pro in 2010.'
Denver Broncos expected to explore the possibility of hiring Anthony Lynn (report)
'Lynn played running back for the Broncos from 1997-1999 and won two Super Bowl championships with the team during that time. In his first two seasons in Denver, he played with current Broncos general manager John Elway. He retired after the 1999 season as a player and served as a special teams assistant with the Broncos from 2000-2002.'
Bills 'doing homework' on Anthony Lynn, Frank Reich, Teryl Austin, Harold Goodwin
'Frank Reich, Buffalo's former backup quarterback, has been linked to the job in the past. He interviewed for the Bills' head coaching vacancy in 2015 after Doug Marrone opted out of his contract with the team. Reich is currently the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive coordinator. The Eagles have scored 22.7 points per game with a rookie quarterback, Carson Wentz, running the offense. Before joining the Eagles, Reich served as offensive coordinator of the Chargers from 2014-2015.'
Buffalo Bills' Anthony Lynn expected to hire Gus Bradley if he becomes coach
'Bradley had an unsuccessful four-year run as the Jaguars' head coach, but he was considered one of the best coordinators in football when he served as the Seahawks' defensive coordinator under Pete Carrol. Bradley runs a 4-3 scheme that most believe would better suit the Bills' defensive personnel, which struggled to adapt to Rex Ryan's 3-4 defense.'
Biggest question mark for Bills didn't get any smaller vs. Jets
'The Bills also proved once again that they’re lost at the quarterback position.'
Anthony Lynn puts together poor coaching debut
'Lynn’s team made several errors that do not make a head coach look good.'
