Rex Ryan doesn't 'know anything' about report he could be fired soon
'"We'll see," Ryan said. "I don't have any idea, guys. … I'll do whatever I think's best for the team."'
Bills-Steelers second half delayed to clean up piles of rubber pellets
'At the direction of referee Pete Morelli, groundskeepers used shovels and leaf blowers to remove the pellets from the field. A tractor was also called out to make another sweep of the field, while coaches from both teams used their feet to brush pellets off the sideline paint.'
Rex Ryan in jeopardy of losing his job as soon as this week, as is Tyrod Taylor
'Ryan's relationship with general manager Doug Whaley and other Bills executives has always been rocky, and that has continued through this season. The front office continues to maintain that the team has superior talent than the results indicate, a message that has been repeated to owner Terry Pegula regularly.'
Snow removal snafu in Buffalo causes delay in Steelers-Bills
'The result: A five-minute delay while members of the grounds grew used leaf blowers to disseminate the pellet piles. Of course, as soon as the teams returned to the field for the start of the third quarter, it started snowing once again.'
Bills game delayed by massive piles of rubber turf pellets
'To alleviate the problem and attempt to improve the field of play, the grounds crew tried to clear snow off the field using plows and machinery at halftime. It worked as snow was removed from the playing surface, but there was a huge mess on the sideline as a result.'
The Bills became the first NFL team to reach this level of futility in 2016
'Pittsburgh attacked the Bills run defense early and often with Le'Veon Bell running the ball. Bell ended the day running for 236 yards and three touchdowns as the Steelers drop the Bills to 6-7 on the year with a 27-20 win over the Bills.'
Steelers run all over the Bills; beat Buffalo 27-20

The time has come
'Ryan and his brother Rob are self-proclaimed great coaches and are happy to tell you multiple times per season. In reality, Rex is a below average coach and Rob is a horrendous coach. Ownership should’ve balked at Rex even hiring such a bad coach in Rob, but they keep their noses out of those decisions and it’s been a complete train wreck. To be fair, that’s probably right, you want your owners to let their coach hire his staff, but Rob Ryan has proven for many years that he’s a horrendous coach.'
Bills travel a familiar path
'Its mid December and another Bills season has gone down the drain. The playoff drought, soon to be an unfathomable 17 years, continues and it feels like there is no end in sight. As usual, the Bills hung around long enough to keep you interested. Then we had the soul crushing loss that ripped your heart out followed by the "yup, this season is toast" debacle.'
Report: Rex Ryan could be fired as soon as Monday
'According to La Canfora, a source told him that they were "95-percent sure" that Ryan would be fired and that it could happen as soon as Monday. However, other reports indicate that any firing of Ryan likely will not happen on Monday.'
Bills-Steelers: Arrow Up/Arrow Down
'This was a pretty uninspiring performance by a team that was fighting for their playoff lives. Too often this season we’ve heard – from the Bills own locker room – that when things get rough on the field, when they get down as the negative plays start to snowball, there’s not a good enough response. Some (maybe more than some) of that is on the head coach. It happened again Sunday. The Bills were down 14-0 two minutes into the second quarter and, although they scored the next TD, they let it get to 24-7 before mounting any semblance of a comeback. The defense also reverted back to the same personnel and pre-snap confusion that was a hallmark of last season. They had been fine in that area most of this year, but thirteen games in and those things just shouldn’t be happening again.'
Bills struggle in 27-20 loss to Steelers
'Now sitting at 6-7 overall, Buffalo will likely miss the playoffs for an NFL record 17th straight season.'
Reports: Bills may fire Rex Ryan before season's end
'According to multiple reports, including Jason LaCanfora of CBSSports.com, and both Tim Graham and Bucky Gleason of The Buffalo News, the job of Rex Ryan as head coach of the Buffalo Bills is on the line as well. All three reported shortly ahead of Sunday's kickoff that an in-season firing of Rex Ryan could be on the way, with LaCanfora even reporting that it could happen as early as Monday.'
7 observations from Bills – Steelers (12/11/16)
'Tyrod Taylor was nowhere to be found, the offensive line couldn’t protect him, the Steelers were stuffing the run, the defense couldn’t stop the Steelers to save their playoff lives.'
