Jaguars game seems like another great chance for Charles Clay and Tyrod Taylor to reconnect
'Clay’s numbers so far have been staggeringly low for a player the Bills had to pay handsomely to lure away from the Miami Dolphins. That’s especially true when considering how many injuries the Bills’ wide receivers have sustained this year.'
11 years into his NFL career, Kyle Williams continues to defy outside expectations
'No Bills player drafted beyond the fourth round has started more. Among Bills drafted so late, he is third in games behind seventh-round pick Mark Pike's 173 and 12th-round pick Charles Romes' 151. Kent Hull, the only undrafted Bills position player with more experience, started all but one of his 170 games.'
Sammy Watkins will return for Bills Sunday against Jaguars
'"He’s about three-quarter speed," Lynn added. "He’s still quick out of his breaks; his long speed, his conditioning wasn’t there. He was on a pitch count in practice. But it was encouraging just to see him back on the football field. … As far as implementing him in the game plan, I don’t know about that yet. I’m just going to evaluate the tape" of practice "and we’ll see."'
Bills lineman Richie Incognito gained 9.4 pounds eating Thanksgiving dinner
'For the last three years, Bills center Eric Wood has hosted a Thanksgiving Day Weight Gain Competition for players who celebrate the holiday at his house.'
Window-shopping the potential QB market
'But after last Sunday’s game at Cincinnati, when the Bills’ passing game remained true to its dead-last-in-the-NFL form, Buffalo fans began yet another year of QB window shopping. They’re not alone. Most of this so-called quarterback league is quarterback-challenged, so the search for “the guy” is on-going in many places.'
The NFL's ratings problems are not just about what happens on the field
'So, as a non-pro happy sports fan, let me offer a suggestion to the hog farm at NFL headquarters: You don't just have work to do cutting down schedules and developing young stars, but you need to force the networks to find distinctive and entertaining people for the booths too.'
Lancaster teen to sing national anthem at Sunday's Bills game
'Known for what she called her "belty voice" at school, Heerdt started singing the national anthem at junior Sabres games when her uncle was a coach and her cousin was a player. She then auditioned for the Buffalo Bisons in 2014, and now she's been singing at their games every summer. She also has been called on to sing the anthem at college games throughout the Buffalo area.'
LeSean McCoy, Sammy Watkins, ready to go for Bills
'“We wanted to just see Sammy in practice to see where he’s at,” Lynn said. “As far as implementing him in the game plan, I don’t know about that yet. I’m just going to evaluate the tape and we’ll see. We’re still evaluating him and his foot. He wasn’t quite 100 percent and his conditioning, he’s been out for eight weeks, it’s not where it needs to be, but like I said, it was just encouraging to see him back out on the football field.”'
What Rex Ryan, Anthony Lynn said about Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins' injury
'"We wanted to just see Sammy in practice to see where he's at," Lynn said. "As far as implementing him in the game plan, I don't know about that yet. I'm just going to evaluate the tape and we'll see.'
Buffalo Bills' Richie Incognito becomes two-time Thanksgiving weight gain champ
'Incognito won the weight gain challenge in 2015 after gaining 15 pounds, but said that he put on too much weight last year to defend his title. On Thanksgiving day, Incognito's competitive spirit got the best of him. He entered the competition and although Incognito didn't reach a double-digit weight gain on the scale, he did enough to defeat the competition.'
Rex: Sammy good to go Sunday, other Friday injury updates
'On the negative side, Percy Harvin missed practice for the second-straight day with an illness while Robert Woods (knee) and Mike Gillislee (hamstring) will not play.'
Bills still miffed over refs in last year's loss to Jaguars
'"No, I haven't forgotten," Robey-Coleman said. "I'm just saying that in order to respond to that, I would like to have (McAulay's crew) again and show them we're just better. Period."'
Bills WR Watkins set to make return
'"The team, the fans, all of us, it's great to get him back out there, no doubt," Bills coach Rex Ryan said.'
Jags' Marrone makes return to Buffalo
'Ryan, like Marrone before him, has faced criticism in Buffalo, despite winning as many games as he has lost since the start of last season. The Bills (5-5) snapped a three-game losing streak with a 16-12 win in Cincinnati last Sunday, keeping alive their hopes of ending their 16-season playoff drought, the longest in the NFL.'
