Ronald Darby has been stepping up in practice, Bills coaches say
'"He’s responded well," defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman said of how Darby has handled the demotion. "You know, that’s what it’s all about. Everybody has a job to do. You’ve got to go out there and do your job. I mean, to have competition is a good thing. In this league, you don’t ever want to ever get comfortable. If you get comfortable, somebody’s looking to take your job. When you get comfortable, it’s not a good thing."'

Bengals QB Andy Dalton thinks Rex Ryan's Buffalo Bills defense hasn't changed much
'"Well, I think technique is the biggest issue," Ryan said. "That's the one that we have to get fixed. Communication – we've had much better. That's why I said our defense is way better than what it was last year, in my opinion. I mean, I'll be honest. I'm shocked that the numbers aren't better. But, that part of it we've pretty much straightened out."'

'Bovada's board gives Alexander the third best odds to win the award behind Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller (3-1) and Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters (7-2).
