'The play of the linebackers. Going into the season I thought this was the unit with the most question marks but they've played very well as a group. Like the rest of the defense, the play has tailed off a bit in the last three games(more on that later) but they still get a good grade. Jerry Hughes has been..well..Jerry Hughes. Zach Brown turns out to be a tremendous "dust settler" signing by Doug Whaley and no one could have predicted what Lorenzo Alexander has done. Preston Brown looks more comfortable in the Rex Ryan scheme in year two.'

Fred Jackson: 'I'm ancient for a running back'
'"I want to play one more year. If it doesn't happen, I know I played nine solid season in Buffalo and a year in Seattle last year and it's something that I can be ok with," he said. "But, I'm staying in shape and if team does reach out I'll be able to go in and contribute as soon as I hit the ground."'
Bills add S James Ihedigbo; Duke Williams released
'The veteran safety has familiarity with Rex Ryan’s defensive system having played under Ryan with the New York Jets for two seasons (2009-2010). Ihedigbo wasn’t a starter under Ryan in New York. What his role will be with the Bills remains to be seen, though it’s likely to include special teams.'
Bills Today: Starting jobs up for grabs
'“That’s what happens,” he said. “I think we have guys that can play and it comes down to opportunity. Just like myself. If I hadn’t had that opportunity I wouldn’t have been able to showcase my abilities. When guys aren’t performing and you have talented guys that you’ve brought in and you know what they’re capable of you want to give those guys the same opportunity that you may have given a starter who may not be showing up. That’s part of being in the NFL.”'
