Not finalized yet, but we’ve been talking, having conversations about it. Just trying to find the right day for us. They’re trying to protect us, so they’re busy.”'

'With his touchdown against the Rams, and his fumble return touchdown against the Jets in Week, 2, Robey-Coleman became the 10th defensive player in Bills’ history to score twice in the same season.'

'"I think there's going to be a lot of people rooting for me as well," Kaepernick said in a conference call with Buffalo media. "I think a lot of the people that are rooting against me because of what my stance is and what I believe in and the people and injustice I'm fighting for, you know, it's sad to see that they don't feel the empathy or compassion that other people should have the same rights, the same justices and be treated the same way as them."'

'"With our fans?" Bills coach Rex Ryan said. "I think they're going to treat Kaepernick and every 49er the same way, that our fan-base supports the Buffalo Bills. They could care less about who we're playing, and that's what it is. Hey, are they going to boo the opponent? Yeah, absolutely. I want them to."'

'According to Pro Football Focus, Robey-Coleman was targeted three times on Sunday by Case Keenum and the cornerback did not allow a single reception.'

'"Everybody has their own opinion about it," McCoy said. "The good thing about being an American is that's his freedom. If he wants to speak about it and take a knee, that's what he wants to do. There's no law against that. As players, we're just trying to win football games. There's different platforms you can choose to talk about it or make a stand for something like that. He chose to do it on the field. That's really up to him."'

'Over the offseason, Watkins had surgery to repair a broken small bone in his foot. He missed a chunk of training camp but managed to play a few snaps in the Bills' third preseason game. Coming out of the Bills' Week 1 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Watkins was feeling pain and discomfort in the foot, but he played through it against the Jets in Week 2. Watkins missed Week 3 after getting stepped on in a walk-through and was later put on injured reserve.'

'Nickell Robey-Coleman and Colt Anderson were both recognized for their efforts in Buffalo's 30-19 win over the Los Angeles Rams.'

'Additionally, Ryan said he believes Bills fans will treat Kaepernick the same as every other 49ers player. “Our community supports our team,” Ryan said.'

'Does Ryan think the 49ers seriously considered him for the opening? “I have no idea,” he said. “You’d have to ask them … But I enjoyed meeting everybody. It’s going to be a matter of time before they turn it around. Hopefully not this week, though.”'

'McCoy said the gesture was not a direct response to Kaepernick's kneeling protests during the national anthem, and that he has no problem with his protests. Kaepernick is set to start for the first time this year on Sunday against the Bills. McCoy said it has yet to be determined if the police officers will attend this weekend's game or Buffalo's following home game on Oct. 30 against New England.'

'"We're trying to win this game, period," said head coach Rex Ryan. "We still have a lot of dirt on us by opening up the season losing those two games. We're trying to get better in all aspects. I'm just happy with the way our team has come back from 0-2; I'm proud of our team."'

'The positive report changes the outlook in Buffalo, where the team had embraced a dire outcome that involved repeating Watkins' surgery to repair the initial break in his foot.'
