'The Bills opted not to promote Dez Lewis from the practice squad, a troubling sign for the receiver who had a solid spring, but could not make the team out of training camp.'

'Eagan played in 44 games at Northwestern State. He played in nine games as a cornerback before moving to wide receiver. During his collegiate career, Eagan recorded 175 receptions for 2,229 yards and 13 touchdowns. Eagan also contributed on kick and punt returns with Northwestern State.'

'Robert Woods' status is uncertain because of an injured right foot, while Marquise Goodwin is being evaluated for a possible concussion sustained in a 28-25 loss at Miami on Sunday. Starter Sammy Watkins (left foot) and backup Greg Salas (groin) are on injured reserve.'

'To make room for Eagan, the Bills released offensive lineman Michael Ola from the active roster.'

' The Dolphins rushed for over 200 yards against the Bills, and Preston Brown was a major reason for that.'

'Eagan (5-10, 193) was signed to the Bills practice squad on Sept. 27th where he has worked primarily as a scout team receiver before getting the call up Tuesday. The rookie out of Northwestern State is a quick and elusive wide out that gets in and out of his cuts quickly. Creating quick separation is important in the scope of Buffalo’s passing offense.'

'“Well no (I wouldn’t rule him out), I mean I am not a (medical) professional, but we are absolutely going to err on the side of caution,” Ryan said. “You know there is no doubt with a head and neck injury that is probably as severe of an injury as you can get so you will make sure that he is never going to go out on the field if he hasn’t been cleared by professionals certainly.”'
