O'Leary more comfortable, confident in Bills' offense
'"Confident guy," Taylor said of O'Leary. "He always has been able to catch the football. It was just a matter of time, him going out there playing with the confidence that he could play at this level. If you watch his preseason games, every time the ball comes to him, he makes the play. But preseason versus regular season is different."'
New Bills receiver Justin Hunter ready to roll vs. Rams
'“I was walking up there to sign my stuff and they were like, somebody just claimed you,” Hunter said. “I was through the doors, about to walk upstairs and they were like, ‘You might want to call your agent.’”'
Bills injury report: Marcell Dareus, LeSean McCoy questionable for Rams game
'"Just got a little jammed up, but I won't miss this game," McCoy said. "I wouldn't miss it for the world, for sure."'
No Patriots fined for pregame scuffle – reports
'"We were out there doing our normal game routine, warming up as DBs, and a couple of Patriots guys ran through our DBs drills," Blanton said after the game. "I told him, 'Hey, don't run through our DB drills. Can you run on the sideline? It's disrespectful and you can get somebody hurt,' because DBs were backpedaling and stuff. And they decided to run through our DB drill again."'
The Bills are terrible! The Bills are great! How quickly the tone can change
'In 2011, they opened with three straight victories and had a 4-1 record before finishing 7-9. This marks the sixth straight season in which Buffalo was 2-2 or better, and you know what happened in the other five. To me, the 2016 Bills look no better than the others and, in certain areas, they look worse.'
Jay Skurski's Scouting Report: Bills at Rams
'Bills 24, Rams 16.'
Vic Carucci's Bills Wake-Up Call: Team can weather Rex's Trump support
'I've always felt that Ryan's biggest risk in mixing politics with football was that it would alienate him with some fans, and unnecessarily cause them to turn on him with even greater zeal if the wheels fall off any more than they did during the 0-2 start. There was also the chance they would turn on the team, too, which made a lot of us wonder if the Pegulas had any regrets from Rex's national-headline-making intro.'
Bills TE Charles Clay wants ball, but he's not complaining
'“There are times when I need to protect, or block on a run play, and that’s what I hang my hat on, being versatile,” Clay said. “If (the coaches) say ‘we need to help in protection, he can help in protection, or if we need him to run a route on somebody, he can do that. You need him in the backfield to be a fullback, he can do that.’”'
Buffalo Bills activate DT Marcell Dareus; place WR Greg Salas on injured reserve
'Dareus' activation to the 53-man roster is an encouraging sign, but it doesn't mean that he'll suit up on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. On Friday, Dareus was added to the team's injury report with a hamstring injury. He's listed as questionable for the game.'
LeSean McCoy, Marcell Dareus added to Buffalo Bills' Week 5 injury report
'The Bills also listed safety Jonathan Meeks (foot), left tackle Cordy Glenn (ankle), Clay (knee), fullback Jerome Felton (back) and Stephon Gilmore (ankle) as questionable. Meanwhile, wide receiver Greg Salas (hamstring), cornerback Corey White (shoulder), center Patrick Lewis (knee) and left tackle Cyrus Kouandjio (ankle) have all been ruled out for the game.'
Buffalo Bills OC Anthony Lynn listed among 2017 head coaching candidates by NFL.com
'Previously in our lower-tier "Names that could get trendy in a hurry" section, Lynn has continued his rapid ascent into the conversation since taking over as offensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills a few weeks ago.'
Bills defense not concerned with ‘out-dueling’ Rams defense
'“Definitely very good at rushing the passer and they’ve got a bunch of good guys, very good players on the back end as well at the linebacker level and in the secondary. Definitely have to be fundamentally sound and disciplined against this group they do a good job at trying to pressure the quarterback and every play is definitely going to count,” Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor said.'
Bills' Bryant gladly steps aside for Dareus’ return
' “Corbin Bryant has always been a good football player. Every time we asked him to step in, he does a great job. And so I’m really not surprised by the way he’s contributed,” Ryan said.'
Bills Q&A preview: What makes the Rams’ defense great?, more
'The Bills are one of the trickier teams to figure out. They have big play potential on both sides of the ball, be it from their dynamic quarterback or their ball hawking defensive backs, but they seemed to have lacked consistency. Rex Ryan is a coach that I've come to trust less and less over the years, so it's difficult to see an avenue for him to overcome an aggressive Rams defense on the road in Los Angeles. It should be a low scoring event, but ultimately, the Rams should eke this one out.'
