'"It was fun out there for the defense," said cornerback Stephon Gilmore, who had two of Buffalo's four interceptions. "We were flying around. We had a great week of practice. We did our thing."'

Rex Ryan on Patriots: 'If Belichick's playing QB, we're coming after him'
'"I know how difficult it is to defend against a running quarterback," Ryan said. "That's what we have to be ready [for] in case Edelman quarterbacks, right? I have a funny feeling he isn't going to be Brady back there."'
Rex Ryan…. delegator?
'This comes on the heels of Ryan sitting in on offensive meetings last week with new coordinator Anthony Lynn and his staff, something Rex had not done under former coordinator Greg Roman before he was fired. Ryan took that a step further Sunday, listening – and even helping – on the headsets when Lynn and the offense had the ball.'
Wood happy with offensive turnaround
'"He was open to input from the players, he was a player himself, so he knows that players have info on what they want in the game," Wood said. "They're going to take a little more ownership of the offense, I think he did that as the week went on, the players had a voice… I thought Anthony did a great job. It was an awesome first game plan for him."'
Early season saver
'But let's not get ahead of ourselves. We'll have all week to consider the Bills chances of beating the Patriots on the road. The win over Arizona featured a couple of things that had been lacking so far in 2016. Tyrod Taylor hurt Arizona with his legs early and then the rest of the Bills running game got going. Also, the defense found a quarterback they could harass in the pocket. Carson Palmer looked off pretty much from start to finish Sunday. Palmer generally is not a guy who you see getting rid the of the ball quickly. The Bills defense under Rex Ryan has had a tough time with quarterbacks who get it out of there fast. So Palmer provided a nice matchup for the Bills defense and they did a good job on him.'
Bills HC Rex Ryan impersonates Bill Belichick
'Without even being asked a question, Rex stepped up to the podium and delivered a mumbled injury report, much in the same way that New England head coach Bill Belichick often does with reporters that cover the Patriots.'
Everything Bills HC Rex Ryan said about the Patriots Monday
'We need a win in the worst way. But, as far as the Patriots, I think, my admiration is really for Belichick more than anything. As a coach, that’s the guy, that’s the best. He’ll go down as probably the best in the history of the game. So, I like poking fun at him and all that stuff but there’s no coach I respect more than him.'
Brownie Points – Week 3
'So after win number one for the Bills here’s an early look at the Brownie Points leaderboard with the candidates awarded points on a sliding scale (6, 4, 2) in terms of impact on the game.'
Dennis Thurman to continue handling defensive play calls
'“Dennis did a great job,” said Ryan of Thurman’s play calling Sunday. “I think we’ll do this (going forward). It’s not like we don’t have communication. We always have open lines of communication. If I was calling it or Dennis was calling it we would still be there with each other and always will be.”'
So what was different with Bills OC Lynn at the controls?
'“We got the ball back to the back deeper,” said McCoy. “The thing is as a running back, what I like is when you get the ball deep; I’m not the biggest guy, but I like to pick if I can go inside, outside, you know it’s more our decision based on, you have to go that way because there is a structure of the play. This one was a little more different.”'
Bills pick off Cardinals
'“To go out and get a win on them, it shows the rest of the league that we’re for real.”'
Bills’ victory over Cards was no fluke
'The offense had an 8-minute edge in time of possession, turned the ball over only once and averaged nearly seven yards on 32 carries en route to three rushing touchdowns.'
Fitzgerald quieted again in return to Buffalo
'“A lot of it was self-inflicted,” he said following Arizona’s 33-18 loss to the Bills on Sunday at New Era Field, “but you have to tip your hat. Those guys had their backs against the wall. Start the season 0-2; a lot of chatter around the league about them, and those guys responded. They were the better team today.”
Bills get ‘D-best’ of Cards
'Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer, who wasn’t intercepted in the first two games this season, was picked off in Arizona’s final four possessions. Two were by cornerback Stephon Gilmore, his first and second of the campaign, and the first multi-interception game of his 5-year career. Safety Corey Graham and cornerback Corey White also had picks.'
