'"He was open to input from the players, he was a player himself, so he knows that players have info on what they want in the game," Wood said. "They're going to take a little more ownership of the offense, I think he did that as the week went on, the players had a voice… I thought Anthony did a great job. It was an awesome first game plan for him."'

'But let's not get ahead of ourselves. We'll have all week to consider the Bills chances of beating the Patriots on the road. The win over Arizona featured a couple of things that had been lacking so far in 2016. Tyrod Taylor hurt Arizona with his legs early and then the rest of the Bills running game got going. Also, the defense found a quarterback they could harass in the pocket. Carson Palmer looked off pretty much from start to finish Sunday. Palmer generally is not a guy who you see getting rid the of the ball quickly. The Bills defense under Rex Ryan has had a tough time with quarterbacks who get it out of there fast. So Palmer provided a nice matchup for the Bills defense and they did a good job on him.'

'Without even being asked a question, Rex stepped up to the podium and delivered a mumbled injury report, much in the same way that New England head coach Bill Belichick often does with reporters that cover the Patriots.'

'We need a win in the worst way. But, as far as the Patriots, I think, my admiration is really for Belichick more than anything. As a coach, that’s the guy, that’s the best. He’ll go down as probably the best in the history of the game. So, I like poking fun at him and all that stuff but there’s no coach I respect more than him.'

'So after win number one for the Bills here’s an early look at the Brownie Points leaderboard with the candidates awarded points on a sliding scale (6, 4, 2) in terms of impact on the game.'

'“Dennis did a great job,” said Ryan of Thurman’s play calling Sunday. “I think we’ll do this (going forward). It’s not like we don’t have communication. We always have open lines of communication. If I was calling it or Dennis was calling it we would still be there with each other and always will be.”'

'“We got the ball back to the back deeper,” said McCoy. “The thing is as a running back, what I like is when you get the ball deep; I’m not the biggest guy, but I like to pick if I can go inside, outside, you know it’s more our decision based on, you have to go that way because there is a structure of the play. This one was a little more different.”'
