'“Coach (Rex) Ryan had the whole staff over to his house for a cookout,” said Taylor. “It was awesome. I’ve always watched the NFL from behind the scenes. Getting to hear Coach Ryan and other coaches tell their stories was surreal.”'

'Since the Bills' first practice at their St. John Fisher College training camp last Saturday, he seems to have picked up where he left off, consistently getting open and catching pretty much everything that comes his way. In a third-and-two situation Thursday, Tyrod Taylor couldn't find anyone open from his first three options. Finally, he fired deep to Salas, who had the presence of mind to adjust his route and to the ball to make one of the better catches of camp.'

'After starting at outside linebacker in last Tuesday night's practice, free-agent rookie linebacker Eric Striker found himself with the third-team defense Thursday. Ryan said he "did some good things" Tuesday night, "and then he had like five busts, I think." IK Enemkpali was back as the No. 1 outside linebacker opposite Jerry Hughes. Enemkpali still looked brutal in coverage, though. On the first play of team drills, he was supposed to drop into the flat, but instead took a deeper drop and wound up colliding with inside linebacker Reggie Ragland.'

'Well first off, I think, you know, we had another break in there. So we had two water breaks. Compared to just the one that we normally have. And then we did have two guys come out in sweatshirts, so we had to have to make sure we had those things were removed from those players. But we’re very mindful of it. You know, waters. It’s not like the boys back in the day when we played and you’re like “Everybody go to the water fountain.” You got, you know, for the entire team you got three minutes. You know, you’re drinking and all that. Those days are long gone. There always water prevalent. There’s all that, and we encourage our guys to drink as much as possible.'

'“It depends on what you look at as impactful, because I feel like in the run game, I helped a lot in the run game,” said Clay. “So I feel like that impacts the game. If you are talking receiving, I mean that’s one thing, but there are other ways you can impact the game. So I do feel like I did in that regard. Our main focus is to do what we can to score more points. When you look at the film everybody has something they can do better, so it’s just not all on Tyrod or on this person. There’s a lot of things we all could have done.”'

'"The training staff told me to take off my hoodies, but I wear my hoodie because I keep candy and gum in there, so they kind of made me take it off," Brown said. "But I found another shirt with pockets. That's the only reason. Everyone thinks I'm trying to sweat, I just wear it because I hide candy in there."'

'"Yes, without question," Ryan said after a recent training camp practice. "Because the nature of his position, he's a true outside linebacker, and yeah he'll drop some, he'll blitz a lot, and you'll also see his hand in the dirt like you saw a lot last year."'

'“In the NFL, experience is everything, and that’s what we have,” Gay said. “(Morgan’s) good enough, he’ll probably end up somewhere else. You never know, he could end up here.”'

'He had suffered, officially, two concussions, the more recent and more severe of them in 2009, but he said that those injuries were not on his mind when he decided to walk away. Other things were. "Football," he said in a recent interview, "has never defined who I am."'

'The news is significant for a Bills team that is already without first-round pick Shaq Lawson, who was expected to start at right outside linebacker. Shaq Lawson underwent shoulder surgery after being drafted by the Bills and his return date is uncertain.'

'Reports on the contract negotiations between quarterback Tyrod Taylor and the Bills have been streaming in throughout the week — the lastest comes from CBS's Jason LaCanfora Thursday afternoon…'.

'The Bills ran some two minute offense during practice and it wasn’t something that impressed the head coach, “It wasn’t that sharp, we’re going to have to get better.” Ryan added, “Quite honestly its probably the only time we’re going to do end of the half, we’re going to start doing way more in game situations since we’ve indentified we have to get better with that.”'

'In 11-on-11 work, Goodwin and Chris Gragg were more involved in the offense than usual. Goodwin was used in various ways, including getting the ball tossed to him on a jet sweet.'

'Head coach Rex Ryan spoke with the media following practice on Thursday, and said that Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus could find his way back to practice some time this week. Dareus was placed on the Active / Non-Football Illness list on Friday before Saturday's first practice for undisclosed reasons.'

'From Taylor’s perspective, if he has a humongous season in 2016, he would essentially be committing to getting underpaid in 2017, just as he is as of right now for the upcoming seasons. And for the Bills, it wouldn’t make a great deal of sense for them to automatically commit $15 million to Taylor for the upcoming season, especially when he’s only started 14 games in his career to this point.'
