'Which is precisely the sort of thing Rex and Rob are determined to see happen during Bills practices. They felt they were trending in that direction during some of those feistier-than-usual offseason workouts at One Bills Drive.'

Orchard Park debating police presence in private Buffalo Bills tailgating lots
'The private lots surrounding Ralph Wilson Stadium have played host to people lighting themselves on fire and public sex acts that have gone viral on social media and put Bills fans and the city in a bad light. In this year’s draft, the Bills needed a linebacker, and Rex lobbied internally for the kind of linebacker that would have played on the ’85 Bears. There were other top-ranked players they could have taken, like Darron Lee, the hybrid safety-linebacker the Jets drafted one spot behind the Bills in the first round. But Rex wanted Alabama’s Reggie Ragland, because he was a physical player, “a Ryan defensive player, going back to the days of our dad.” Buffalo took Ragland in the second round.'
The best individual seasons during the Bills playoff drought
'Williams thrived in 2014 alongside Dareus, Kyle Williams, and Jerry Hughes on the Bills defensive line. He earned a Pro Bowl spot after finishing fourth in the NFL with 14.5 sacks to go along with 42 tackles, two passes defensed, and a pair of forced fumbles. He was named First-Team All-NFL by both the Associated Press and Pro Football Writers. There were only four games out of 16 in which Williams didn’t record at least half of a sack and he had at least one sack in ten games that season. His best performance in what is considered the Bills best individual season over the past sixteen years came in week eleven when Williams had 3.5 sacks and five tackles at Miami.'
