'No argument here. The Bills were so undisciplined across the board, it seemed they were trying to hit for the penalty cycle. False start. Illegal use of hands. Facemask. Pass interference. Illegal motion. If it was in the rule book, by golly the Bills seemed determined to draw a flag for it.'

'"You'll never be considered a great quarterback until you bring your team back and win in those situations," Ryan said. "So yeah, I would say that's the next stage."'

'Beyond the penalties, this was simply the latest in a long line of letdown performances by the Bills where the stakes were pretty high.'

'"I think LeSean is an emotional guy, and we were all hyped up," guard Richie Incognito said. "We wanted to win the game for him, but I do not think that emotions played a part in the game."'

'I am not sure about Karlos we will see how that thing how the week progressive. And then as far as Charles Clay is I know they are looking him. I always tell you it is never a good thing when you don’t finish a game. So I don’t know if we have had one guy not finish a game and play the next week. I am not saying it can’t happen but sometimes it is not a good sign.'

'“It destroyed our offense,” he said. “Especially those holding calls. You make a great play, get a first down, then turn back, penalty. And it just happened time and time again and we just couldn’t overcome it.”'

So the offseason starts in earnest tomorrow. Sure, there are still three games left, but win or lose it won’t make much difference. Younger fans and those who haven’t yet learned how to power through the denial phase of the grieving process will point out that the Bills are not mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, but trust me – I’ve seen it time and time again – it’s over. Heck, I’m so used to this grieving process I’m already through denial and I’m firmly into anger and the game ended mere hours ago. I’m thinking I’ll skip bargaining altogether (it never works) and go straight to depression – probably tomorrow when it sets in.
