'Cornerback Stephon Gilmore agrees with Ryan’s assessment about the communication improving on defense. “I just think we’re getting used to each other, used to the coaches,” he said. “With new coaches coming in, we’re just getting used to how everybody likes playing, just go out there and just know each other.”'

'Rambo posted a game-sealing interception late in the fourth quarter, as well as a fumble recovery and two forced fumbles—including one returned for a touchdown by fellow safety Duke Williams in the Bills 22-17 win.'

'"I was a little disappointed from my study to see that they are playing as well as they were. That's part of it. You're going to go up against good players, and they have good players. We've got to still figure out how to move the ball down the field."'

'A third-year player out of Georgia, Rambo is the second Bill to win AFC defensive player of the week this season—joining Preston Brownwhose week three performance earned him the honors. Rambo is the first Bills defensive back to bring home defensive player of the week honors since S Jairus Byrd in week six of the 2012 season.'

'“That’s my role here — blocking receiver,” Woods said. “Get these guys going. Other teams, other roles, everything’s different. But this role here for me is to get these guys free.”'

'"If he throws for 800 yards, if that happens, I'll join my brother," said Ryan, referencing Rob who was fired by the Saints. "Brady will try to do that, you watch. There's always different things and each team goes through injuries. Do they affect you and things like that? Apparently, they're not supposed to affect our team but they're supposed to affect everybody else's. I'll leave it at that."'

'“I woke up Wednesday morning, getting ready to go to practice, and I couldn’t open my door,” defensive tackle Corbin Bryant said. “I was panicking, like ‘Oh, man, I’m going to be late.’ But then they sent out a text that said practice was canceled. Nobody could get out."'

'The Bills aren't required to release an injury report until later in the week, but Ryan all but declared that defensive tackle Kyle Williams will be out against New England. Williams has missed the past three games because of a knee injury suffered in Week Six against Cincinnati.'

'"He's going to take some time and get away from it a little, which is good, but I haven't thought about that," Rex said Tuesday afternoon following the Bills' short practice at One Bills Drive as they began getting ready for the showdown against New England.'

'"I kind of knew what he wanted to do to me," Watkins said. "I kind of knew how he was playing me, what I had to do. I just trusted. That's one thing I do, I watch a lot of film on guys. We just have to trust in film and go by that film. The film don't lie."'

'"A lot of things would have to … I mean I'll never say never, that's for sure," Rex said. "We kind of purposely set a path going to different teams. He's his own man, I'm my own man, and we purposely set that path. With that being said, I ain't gonna lie to you: I think it'd be pretty fun. If it could help, obviously you'd consider it, but he'd have to consider it as well. You know, we've got great coaches already here. But we'll see."'
