'In the portion of practice open to the media, Taylor was with the starting offense and, although the team later revealed he worked on a limited basis, he was trotted out in front of reporters afterward to say his plan was to play against the Bengals, his knee was “better than it was” Tuesday … but the ultimate decision on whether he will play is “up to the coaches.”'

'“I can play in this league," Duke Williams said. "I’m one of the better safeties in the league athletically — I just have to display that.”'

'I didn’t buy it then, and I don’t buy it now. If Ryan is having trouble deciding on a starter for Sunday’s game, it’s because Whaley made the decision harder by moving Cassel. Regardless of what Ryan protests in front of a microphone, his actions said that he and the coaches had very little faith in Manuel.'

'"Injuries happen every day," Watkins said. "I can't really go out there hoping that it doesn't pop. If it does, there's more life to live. You've got the next year and the next year. 'For the first time since re-injuring his hamstring, LeSean McCoy was on the practice field in uniform for the Bills. He was running through drills in the portion of practice open to the media, and Pete Schrager of FOX Sports reported that he has a shot to play against the Bengals.'

'Tyler Eifert is finally healthy and living up to the lofty expectations placed on him as a former first-round pick. He has five touchdowns in five games and has already piled up over 300 receiving yards. Eifert does a ton of damage in the middle of the field and has been making tough catches on poorly-thrown balls. He's added another dimension to this offense and one that will be tough for the Bills to contain Sunday.'

'"We have a lot of confidence in EJ Manuel. That's why we traded Matt Cassel," Ryan told Sirius XM NFL. "EJ had a terrific preseason. In fact, he had one of the highest quarterback ratings in the entire NFL. I think he threw four touchdowns with no interceptions, so we're really happy with him if in fact he is playing quarterback."'

'“We handle some situations a little differently,” Lewis said with a laugh. “Unfortunately, sometimes people take some of the things he does or says the wrong way. He’s a good person. And he’s a fun person. And he’s an excellent coach. He does a great job getting the guys to play hard for him and do the things he wants them to do. That part of it, he’s so genuine, which is cool.”'
