'The Bills did not list Taylor on their injury report until Week 3, when he was a full participant in practice with a chest injury. Taylor then appeared to hurt his ankle in a Week 3 win over the Miami Dolphins — although he never missed a play — and was listed as a full participant in practice in Week 4 with an ankle injury.'

All-22 Review: Bills/Titans
'As I sit down to lay out how things went down in Tennessee, we've learned that Tyrod Taylor is unlikely to play this week, against the Bengals. Taylor made a few great plays last week, but the passing game was limited to say the least. Take a look at the All-22, where we see a big part of the field ignored by the offense, and the defensive line's latest masterpiece.'
Reports: Bills' Taylor to miss start vs. Bengals
'NFL.com later reported that Taylor would, in fact, not be able to play against the Bengals — which means backup and former first-round pick EJ Manuel would be in line to get the start.'
Bills add QB Johnson, raise concerns on Taylor
'Johnson, 29, is in his seventh NFL season, and is familiar with Bills offensive coordinator Greg Roman. Top 7 storylines to follow for Bills-Bengals
'One key player to watch is WR Sammy Watkins who has missed the last two games with a calf muscle injury. After a vigorous on field workout Friday and another one Sunday in Tennessee, Rex Ryan is optimistic about Watkins chances of returning to the lineup.'
Bills sign QB Josh Johnson; K Cundiff released
'Johnson spent most of the 2015 offseason with Cincinnati after signing as a free agent with the Bengals last April. He appeared in one preseason game for Cincinnati going 11-21 passing for 175 yards. The Bengals released him in late August and he was signed by the New York Jets where he appeared in their preseason finale going 7-12 passing for 82 yards. He also ran for 76 yards on seven carries. He was released by the Jets during final cuts in early September.'
Defense rounding into form
'“We always have those little mistakes that you want to fix, but that was one of our best whole games we put together,” said Preston Brown. “We were out there a lot so to put that effort together was good.”'
