'Enemkpali will be eligible to return to the Bills' active roster on Monday, Oct. 5. That means Enemkpali will be available for both of the Bills' game against his former team the New York Jets. The Bills and Jets don't play until Nov. 12, at which point Smith should be back from his injury.'

If not, they intended to break off talks, allow Dareus to play out the final year of his current contract and were prepared to place a franchise tag on him after the season, if necessary.'

'The Bills probably won’t have too much trouble replacing Jackson on the field. They have backs — a decade younger — who can back up starter LeSean McCoy. However, Jackson was a captain, a leader, the voice of reason. The mere sight of safety Aaron Williams sporting Jackson’s No. 22 jersey at practice is enough proof of what he meant in this locker room.'
