'Belichick appended his thoughts on Taylor to that opener, saying, “Taylor’s no rookie. This guy’s been in the league for five years and he was a good player when he had an opportunity to play at Baltimore. Different but in some ways it kind of reminds me of the Cassel situation where he went to Kansas City. [Cassel" target="_blank"> played here for the year, Taylor never really got the opportunity to play much in Baltimore but I’m just saying they’re in those roles, they get an opportunity to play and then everybody finds out, ‘Hey, they’re pretty good…’ but the guy in front of him is pretty good too. That’s one of the benefits of free agency for a guy like that to (get) where the road’s a little clearer.”'

Bills safety Aaron Williams: 'I hate New England'
'"Just gotta remember where [Rob Gronkowski" target="_blank"> and [Julian" target="_blank"> Edelman are," Williams said. "Hopefully our defensive linemen get to Tom [Brady" target="_blank">. Our job in back end is to hold those guys as much as possible so the Cold Front can go up there and do their job, and that's sack Brady."'
Patriots on edge about Buffalo's many weapons
'“Lot of explosive players. They are very explosive,” Bill Belichick emphasized in his Tuesday conference call. “And Taylor, we saw him take off for a 31-yard run last week. So it really doesn’t matter who those guys are. Watkins. [Robert" target="_blank"> Woods. They have a lot of speed there. Explosive players and they are all very dangerous.”'
Game Preview: Patriots travel to Buffalo to take on the Bills
'QB Tom Brady is 23-3 all-time against Buffalo. He has more wins against Buffalo than any other NFL team. The New York Jets are second with 20 wins. Brady's 23 wins against Buffalo are tied for the second most wins by a quarterback against an opponent. Brett Favre had 23 wins against Chicago and 26 wins against Detroit.'
Tom Brady one of Tyrod Taylor's biggest motivations
'Taylor shares the same birthday as Brady, albeit 12 years later.'
Which Division Team Was The Most Impressive?
All the teams in the AFC East were impressive as this was the first time since the realignment in 2002 that they are all 1-0. I have to go with the Bills as the most impressive because of the quality of their opponent and how soundly they defeated them.
Heck of a Win
There is so much to like about Sunday’s game I hardly know where to begin. I would have been thrilled with any sort of Bills win to open the season, but this outcome was one of the sweetest. The Bills have won a handful of shockers over the past 15 years, but usually these wins falls into that category of “wow – that was somewhat of a fluke, but I’ll take it”. Sunday’s game was different.
Bills defense played in midseason form
'“Everybody studied the plays,” Brown said. “So once I got the signal, everybody knew what they had to do – the checks, everything – it was great to see everybody working as one.”'
Bills need to improve run game
'LeSean McCoy averaged 2.4 yards on 17 carries against a mediocre Indy run defense. McCoy, who led the NFL in negative rushing yards a year ago, had four carries that went for negative yardage.'
Forbes ranks Bills last on list of most valuable NFL franchises
'The Bills, according to the magazine, had revenue of $296 million in 2014 and operating income of $44 million.'
Suicide victim in Orchard Park stadium parking lot was off-duty Orleans County sheriff’s deput
'“Deputy Fuller died tragically while off-duty on Saturday … and his death was investigated by the Town of Orchard Park Police. The Sheriff’s Office was in close contact with the Orchard Park PD throughout that investigation and foul play has been ruled out,” Hess said. “The sworn and civilian staff of the Sheriff’s Office is coping with this event and grief counseling is going to be made available to all. We respectfully request that the media show consideration to Deputy Fuller’s family by allowing them their privacy during this most difficult time.”'
Two DWI arrests reported by State Police after Bills game
'Both arrests occurred after traffic stops on Transit Road in Elma. Troopers also reported issuing 29 tickets Sunday.'
Tyrod Taylor tops list of 'likes'
'I'll admit I was skeptical when the Bills signed him in March, I was skeptical about his viability for most of the offseason because he just looked too small to function as the full-time starter, and even late into the preseason, I thought Rex Ryan would play it safe and go with Matt Cassel. Taylor has won me over because of one thing: He's not a running quarterback, he's a quarterback who can run.'
Rex's recap: Fans so loud 'you could barely hear yourself think'
'Our fans were awesome. The thing we really gotta start working on is, I gotta pump the volume up for our defense in practice because we kind of blew some communication things out there. But it’s because our fans were so awesome. You could barely hear yourself think. I don't know if I did our fans justice. It's the truth. It was amazing for me, but it was also amazing for our players. I can't wait to see what our fans are going to be like when you have the hated Patriots … I mean, this kind of rival coming into our stadium."'
How we went wrong predicting Indianapolis Colts to beat Buffalo Bills
'A lot of people picked the Indianapolis Colts to make the Super Bowl in 2015, but on Sunday they looked ordinary. The Bills deserve credit for making them look that way, but in general, the roster isn't as talented as it looks on paper with Andre Johnson and Frank Gore aging. They also don't have nearly the same level of coaching the Bills do, and that was evident Sunday. While the Bills played with passion and something to prove, the Colts came out flat and got the result they deserved.'
