Report card
'This was as thorough a flogging of a division rival as the Bills, and their fans, could have possibly hoped for. Buffalo made Miami look foolish on both sides of the ball with an attacking offense and a dominant, play-making defense. A 2-1 start against this schedule is pretty good.'
Buffalo Bills embarrass Miami Dolphins in home opener
'Tyrod Taylor had a bounce-back effort against the Dolphins. When Taylor plays like he did against the Dolphins, completing 21 of 29 passes for 277 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions, Buffalo is going to be tough to beat. He still has to prove he can be consistent week-to-week and clean up some issues with pocket presence, but Taylor is becoming a reliable starting quarterback before our eyes. He might just be good enough to get this team to the playoffs.'
Rex Ryan would rather not sit Buffalo Bills RB to rest hamstring
'"Nah, I'll tell you, he's such a weapon," Ryan said. "… If he gets a little bit back — get a little better, a little better, a little better — eventually he'll get all the way back. That would be fantastic. But man, it's so hard to (sit him). He's such a great player. (Williams) is a hoss, there's no question, but we got to do what's in the best interest of our football team and LeSean also. But just golly, he's such a good player. … If he's close … if he's at 80 percent, he's still a heck of a player."'
Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan calls Sammy Watkins calf injury a 'big concern'
'"Well, it's a calf, and obviously at the end he couldn't press off it to the point where he could play," Ryan said. "Those are things, that's just, man. I loved coming here because I knew he was on the team. It's like, golly, let's get him healthy and get him to where he can be Sammy Watkins. That would be awesome."'
What Rex Ryan, Bills players are saying about Tyrod Taylor's emergence against Dolphins
'It's great. He looks like (Colin) Kaepernick a little bit when me and (offensive coordinator Greg Roman) and all the rest of the guys were in San Francisco. That's exactly how it looks, just up and down the field all day, carving people up. I like it, I like it.'
A week later, the shoe's on the other foot
'As well as things went for the Bills on the field, they were just as favorable across the league. Suddenly, the AFC playoff picture looks a little less daunting.'
Buffalo Bills Week 3 Report Card
'The Bills want to have a balanced attack. The offensive line is a big part of that. They had a great game against the Dolphins.'
Bills blow out pathetic Dolphins in Miami
'Miami’s two big-money off-season signees — quarterback Ryan Tannehill and defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh — did nothing to trip the Bills’ momentum. Tannehill, in fact, only added to it.'
Former Dolphins make big impact in Bills’ win
'For those Bills who used to play for the Dolphins, well, Sunday was pretty terrific as Buffalo blew out Miami 41-14.'
Former Seminoles contributing to Buffalo Bills
'Darby had only two picks in his three years at FSU . But the Bills love Darby’s excellent speed and his ability to play press coverage.'
Richie Incognito, Charles Clay, other ex-Dolphins enjoy return
'Tight end Charles Clay caught three passes on the Bills’ opening drive, including a 25-yard touchdown in which he faked multiple defenders, and finished with five receptions for 82 yards. Carpenter made a pair of field goals, the second one a 51-yard boot with three seconds left in the first half.'
Buffalo Bills win big at Miami Dolphins, but South Fort Myers graduate Sammy Watkins injured
'Though he missed the final three quarters with a calf injury, Watkins told NBC-2 he expected to play next week. “I’ll be just fine,” he said in a brief postgame interview.'
Hampton's Taylor throws for 277 yards in Buffalo's 41-14 win at Miami
'"Since he was named the starter, we all had complete confidence in him," said Harvin, who starred at Green Run High in Virginia Beach. "He's just got a composure about himself. It's hard to rattle him. He speaks very clear. He commands the huddle."'
Taylor throws 3 TD pass and Bills rout Dolphins 41-14
'"The last game I played on this field and everything that went down after it — definitely it left a bad taste in my mouth," Incognito said. "To come down and see the guys and compete against them and get a win, it's a great feeling."'
