'Carrington was a special teams force during his first stint with the Bills, blocking six kicks (four field goals, two extra point attempts). His four blocked kicks during the 2012 season (three field goals, one extra point attempt) still stands as a team-record. In addition to his kick blocking prowess, Carrington has recorded 53 tackles, four sacks and 14 tackles for loss during his five NFL seasons.'

'When asked if he was concerned about the public perception of the Bills with the addition of the likes of Incognito, Karlos Williams and Darby, Whaley said, “The optics of it: we’ll let you guys debate that. But for us, the support system we have in place not only in the locker room, but the options we have outside that we provide as an organization and the lack of any incidents that have occurred here since people have joined the Buffalo Bills … We’re pretty excited and happy that we can foster an environment to make sure things like that are not a topic once they get to Buffalo.”'

'“I thought Bryce Petty was a guy, maybe you bring him into the fold,” Kiper said. “He’s got the arm to deal with the weather conditions up in Buffalo, in New York, in New England, when you’re in that division. But they didn’t.”'

'Four months from the start of the new season, the AFC East is shaping up as the most improved division, and maybe the best, in the NFL. When you consider all the star power that’s come into the division recently, it is certainly the most interesting.'

'“I don’t know which direction I’m going yet, but I do know this is one that’ll be a constant,” Moorman said. “A constant in my life and a constant connection to Buffalo.”'

'The Bills at least brought Williams in for a pre-draft visit at the facility before taking him off the board in the fifth round with new owners Terry and Kim Pegula in the draft room. General manager Doug Whaley said the Bills were wary of the situation given how big an issue domestic violence has become in sports.'

'He also thought the Bills reached a bit on Darby and didn't need to add a running back in the fifth round the way they did. That was enough to keep the Bills at the bottom of his draft rankings.'

'"I'd rather have, in a perfect world, 'this is our guy,' but I'm excited about the competition," Ryan said. "You don't know how it's going to shake out. There's not anybody who knows how it's going to shake out. We're going to give them a platform that will showcase what they can all do, and let's see what happens. Is it a perfect situation? No, I'm not saying it is, but when we end it, it'll be a clear guy who will be No. 1. There are three guys in my opinion, who can be NFL quarterbacks."'

'“It’s nice they got a lot of depth players all-around, but given they went 9-7 last season and are trying to break that playoff drought right away with Rex Ryan, there’s not much here that gets them there. They got docked a little for not addressing defensive line, but this terrible grade comes from the fact they didn’t bother to draft a much-needed third quarterback option.”'

'“We gave it tremendous consideration,” Whaley said. “Obviously, we talked to some guys and then we went to see Bryce Petty. It just didn’t fall the way we wanted it to. We were a little (hamstrung) without some of the picks, with the ammo to move around, and get some guys or have some guys fall to us, and compared to the value we put on them.”'

'“That’s what we were looking for with this last day,” said Whaley. “Finding guys that will give us special teams help and some (positional) depth that will be in the system and contribute a year or two from now at a higher level.”'

'“That’s the exciting thing about him right away because he is so fast and he is physical,” said Monos. “He’s 230 pounds, ran 4.46 and he used to play defense. That’s the whole mentality even as a runner so he will find a way.”'

'“He’s been productive his whole career,” said Monos. “Everybody tells you that he’s not the fastest, not the tallest, or most athletic but then you watch him and all he does is make plays for one of the best teams in the country.”'
