‘He was attended to for several minutes on the field, and had a brace placed on his neck before being placed on a cart.’

‘Linebacker Nigel Bradham is also sidelined with a knee injury.’
Schwartz, Carpenter help Bills put boots to Lions
‘Running back Fred Jackson gained 50 yards on 11 carries and caught seven passes for 58 yards for the Bills and rookie receiver Sammy Watkins caught seven passes for 87 yards. Defensive tackle Marcell Dareus recorded a career-high three sacks.’
BIlls-Lions: What we learned
‘Kyle Orton might not be the long-term solution but he’s probably going to start at quarterback the rest of this season as long as he’s healthy.’
Ankle injuries drop Lions WR Johnson, RB Bush
‘Johnson caught one pass in a 17-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills and head coach Jim Caldwell said he had to leave the game because “he took a pretty good hit” to the ankle. Johnson, who missed multiple practices for the second consecutive week and has only three receptions for 19 yards the past two games, attempted to walk off the pain but was not able to come back for the Lions.’
Lions WR Johnson active vs. Bills
‘Johnson played last week’s game against the New York Jets but was mainly used as a decoy. He played just 37 of the team’s 66 offensive snaps and had only two catches for 12 yards.’
Bills Knock Off Lions 17-14
‘In the third quarter Buffalo’s offense came to life as they executed two long drives, one of which resulted in a missed field goal and one a make. On their first possession of the fourth quarter Buffalomarched 74 yards in just under four minutes and capped off their drive with a 2 yard TD pass to Chris Gragg on 1st and goal. Observations: Bills 17 – Lions 14
‘It wasn’t immediately evident that it was the right move, but as the game wore on, the experience and poise of Orton started to ooze out.’
Bills get up from canvass with huge win
‘Fred Jackson…was…well…the Fred Jackson we’ve known and loved, giving every drop of energy he had, initiating contact, bouncing off hits and grinding out yard after yard against one of the best defenses in the NFL. Jackson finished with 108 yards from scrimmage.’
First Place Bills
‘The 2014 season is alive and kicking. Drink it in.’
Bills win one final time for Wilson
‘It was painful to watch C.J. Spiller try to take every ball outside and get stopped every time. Spiller just refuses to run the ball where the hole is and had seven yards on nine carries. Fred Jackson averaged 4.5 yards per carry and was willing to stick his nose in and get the tough yards.’
Bills End Wilson Era on High Note
‘-You’d have to imagine the Pegula’s like the way the defense is playing. Defensive Coordinator Jim Schwartz was carried off the field on Sunday. The former Lions head coach certainly had his unit ready to go and it was the defense that kept the Bills in the game. Marcell Dareus seemed inspired to help the cause. The defensive tackle was an absolute monster. Dareus finished with a career high three sacks. He was dominant at times as the Bills harassed Matt Stafford throughout the day and held the Lions to only 1-for-11 on third down and 7 offensive points. Granted the Lions Alex Henery missing three fIeld goals obviously helped, but the defense more then did it’s part.’
Orton sparks Bills upset
Immediate Reactions: Buffalo Bills 17, Detroit Lions 14
‘At times it felt like an extension of that brutal last preseason game between these two teams, but what matters right now is this: 3-2 and New England.’
Bills Pull Off Shocking Come From Behind 17-14 Win
‘If a team is going to make a run at a division title they need to win games like this. They played poorly for most of the game offensively and were playing undiscipline football but there defense kept them in it. They battle back and showed some grit and in the end pulled the game out. Were they a bit lucky that the Lions kicker missed three field goals? Of course, but you need some luck to get to the playoffs and the Bills took advantage. Somewhere in the sky Ralph Wilson is looking down fondly on his team after they pulled out a thrilling win in the final game of his family magnificent ownership of the team.’
