‘t wasn’t pretty as the Bills allowed a very bad Jets team to hang around much longer than they should have. The conservative play had Bills fans tearing the hair out of their heads as the Bills played into the strength of the Jets defense most of the game. For the second week in a row it wasn’t very pretty but it was a win and this week they managed to put the hammer down and put the game away. Despite being conservative they did make two long plays in the passing game that kept the Jets from mounting a serious threat. It hasn’t been easy, and it hasn’t always been pretty but it has been a very successful first half to the season. The Bills have a new owner who is keeping the team in Buffalo and they are 5-3 at the bye a game out of first. It may not get any easier but it’s nice to see this team in the hunt with something to look forward to in the second half of the season.’

Defense Gets Six Takeaway Performance In Big Road Division Win
‘Nathaniel Hackett got ripped all game long on twitter and rightfully so. They were way too conservative running the ball too much when the game was on the line, into the strength of the Jets defense instead of challenging the weak secondary more. They did challenge enough for two big plays to Watkins.’
Bills ride six takeaways to win over Jets
‘It was the first time the Bills had six takeaways in a game in five seasons, and the 43 points scored were the most since a 49-point outburst against Cincinnati on Nov. 21, 2010.’
Bills takeaway tally key in victory
‘”That’s something we wanted to focus on during the game,” said DE Jerry Hughes. “We wanted to find ways to force turnovers. That’s what we focused on during the offseason for us to put that together against a divisional opponent is huge. We can kind of start to build some momentum and start putting wins together. No more one and out, one and out-kind of just really get on a roll.”‘
What the Bills are saying about Buffalo’s 43-23 win over the Jets
‘”We had 20 points off of the turnovers and we all know, probably of all the statistics, that’s the one that really means the most. I was happy about that. We had the potential to get some other ones out there. I thought we did a good job on the offensive side of not turning the ball over. We haven’t been doing a very good job of that in these past couple of weeks, so we put a major emphasis on it. Not to say that that should get it done, obviously turnovers are so big, but I was happy to get out of there with no turnovers.”‘
Kraig Urbik named starting guard in gameday lineup changes
‘OL Kraig Urbik was inserted back into the starting lineup in the gameday lineup changes against the Jets.’
