‘So far this season, the Bills are bucking that trend. Buffalo is 4-3, with three of its wins coming on the last play of regulation. Is it sustainable? Doubtful.’

Watkins shines in comeback win
‘The coaching staff deserves some blame for the awful start. There were too many penalties, turnovers and mental mistakes. The fact that the Bills didn’t give up does show that this team is different than previous ones. An ugly win is still a win.’
Buffalo Bills Week 7 Report Card
‘Turnovers and mediocre run defense aside, the Bills coaching staff did a good job this week. Offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett is often criticized, but he drew up the right plays on the Bills’ final drive, including the call on 4th and 20 that saved the game.’
Orton passes for 105 yards on Bills’ final drive
‘All thanks to as clutch a mid-season, end-of-game drive as the Bills have mustered in some time.’
Bills beat Vikings on Watkins’ 2-yard TD catch
‘”Everybody kept their poise and determination,” said Orton, who threw for 283 yards and two scores but also turned the ball over twice in an uneven performance for him and the team. “You don’t ever apologize for winning a game in this league. It’s too hard.”‘
After uneven performance, is Orton the answer for Bills?
‘Orton’s 10-year, five-team NFL career is dotted with alternating episodes of success and failure.’

Bills beat Vikings 17-16 on Watkins 2-yard catch
‘The touchdown capped a 15-play, 80-yard drive which Orton extended by converting a fourth-and-20 and a third-and-12. Orton set up the decisive score with a 28-yard pass to Chris Hogan at the Vikings 2.’
Bills show resolve in rallying to beat Vikings
‘Here are a number of things that stood out in a game in which the Bills improved to 3-0 against NFC North opponents this season…’,
Bills’ Jackson, Spiller hurt against Vikings
‘The injuries depleted Buffalo’s backfield to third-string running back Anthony Dixon and fullback Frank Summers. Running back Bryce Brown was inactive to start the game.’
Bills receiver Mike Williams active against Vikes
‘The move comes a week after Williams’ agent, Hadley Engelhard, was granted permission to seek a trade after the receiver was inactive in a 37-22 loss to New England. The Bills (3-3) do have a spot to fill at receiver with Marquise Goodwin out with an ankle injury.’
Buffalo 17, Minnesota 16
‘The prospect of the Bills winning appeared dim when Orton was sacked at the Buffalo 40 on third down. However, the veteran quarterback converted a 4th- and-20 with a 24-yard pass to Scott Chandler.’
Bills lose Jackson, Spiller to injuries
‘The team ruled out both players for the rest of the game, leaving Anthony Dixon as the only available option in the backfield.’
Bills beat Vikings on last-second TD
‘Buffalo won despite turning the ball over four times.’
Bills-Vikings: What we learned
‘The Bills were deeper at running back than any other position before this game. No longer.’
