‘”We play in Buffalo, so obviously at some point the weather’s going to come and we’re going to have to be able to grind out a win running the football, no doubt about that,” Orton said. “I think the one area that we’re not getting a huge amount of production is in our play-action pass game, so I think obviously the more we can run the ball and have efficient runs that’s going to get you in third and 2, which we’re pretty good at. That’s going to allow us to hit some big chunks in the play-action pass game.”‘

‘November hasn’t been kind to the Bills in recent years. Since 2008, they are just 6-18 in November. Given how grueling the Bills’ schedule is in December, November becomes even more important. The Bills should have a chance to go undefeated in the third quarter of the season.’

‘The decision coach Doug Marrone made to bench second-year quarterback EJ Manuel in favor of Kyle Orton has turned the Bills’ season around. That may seem like an overstatement, but the Bills were in a delicate place following a rough loss to the Houston Texans.’

‘He said he still mostly uses a feeding tube because his mouth is too sore and he can’t open his jaw wide enough to chew food. He has had to cancel his beloved moose hunts and several family trips. “But I wouldn’t miss going to the ‘U’ for anything,” he said.’

‘”It’s humbling. Overwhelming, without a doubt,” Kelly said, of the outpouring of support he’s gotten in recent years. “You don’t realize how many people really care about you. It’s humbling. It makes you feel good and I know I need the prayers. It does mean a lot.”‘

‘”He’s playing at an extremely high level,” Marrone said. “It’s really been a 180 for him from last year to this year. I’ve seen it off the field, too, in how he’s reacting. He’s been a pleasant surprise. I’m happy for him because he really put the work in. I didn’t know which way he was going to go.”‘

‘Sylvester came back to Utah for rehab, and he’s not only getting himself back into playing shape, he’s getting out in the streets of Salt Lake City to help those in need.’

‘The Buffalo Bills are winning the majority of their games in spite of the play of their offensive line. Once again, the front five was a major weakness for the team and they needed to overcompensate for their inability to get a push in the running game.’

‘”You have a guy that’s older than everybody now,” Hackett said of Orton. “I think that just demands that respect, regardless, because he’s played in games, because he has a winning record, he’s thrown for a lot of yards. We’re trying to get the guys in the right positions, whether it’s a new offensive lineman, a new wide receiver, or a new package. You never know what’s going to happen next. I think that we just have to be ready and fluid to make those changes.”‘
