‘Now, by buying the Bills, he met a qualification that many felt was unfillable: a locally based multibillionaire whose commitment was so deep he would turn his back on untold millions in additional profit to be made in a bigger burg.’

Keeping up with the Pegulas: low-profile visit at high time
‘Sources in a position to know say the couple tends to keep to themselves, and they rarely are seen out in public or running in the typical social circles that attract some of the city’s other movers and shakers. With the exception of an occasional visit to Sinatra’s restaurant on Kenmore Avenue in North Buffalo, that is.’
Manuel gaining ground as Bills leader
‘”It wasn’t unexpected; he is the quarterback of this team,” Jackson said. “When you have a guy like that on offense, he’s going to do his part. That’s why I think everybody in this locker room is rallying behind him, because he wants to get this things turned around and he wants to be the guy to help turn it around.”‘
Bills vs. Dolphins Week 2 injury report: Keith Rivers misses another practice
‘Buffalo is in a lot better shape than the Dolphins are injury-wise.’
Robert Woods is asked if he’s better than Sammy Watkins in interview with ESPN
‘”I think he’s a good receiver,” Woods said. “I wouldn’t say that he’s better, no.”‘
Preston Brown prepared to replace Keith Rivers after stepping in for Nigel Bradham in Week 1
‘”It was very difficult for me, having to watch it on TV for the first time and not be a part of my team,” Bradham said. “That was the first time that ever happened to me in my life. It’s just one of those situations you never want to be in again.”‘
Buffalo Bills tickets most expensive they’ve ever been before a regular-season game, resale site say
‘The buzz is growing around Orchard Park. In addition to the new owners, the Bills are also coming off a surprising 23-20 overtime win on the road against the Chicago Bears. The Dolphins, a longtime Bills rival, are also 1-0 after upsetting the Patriots in Week 1. Ticket prices for a Bills home game haven’t been this pricey since 2012, when the Bills hosted the Patriots ($97 per ticket), according to SeatGeek.’
Seantrel Henderson vs. Cameron Wake: Doug Marrone confident in rookie against Dolphins defensive end
‘”I’ve seen a lot of quickness and explosiveness from him,” Henderson said. “He obviously had a good game against New England. We’ve got guys like him on our team that I’ve been going up against all week, so I think I’m pretty ready to go against him.”‘

Miami Dolphins secondary bracing for trio of speedy Buffalo Bills receivers
Dolphins OL might face biggest challenge of season vs. Buffalo
‘Buffalo’s four-man defensive line might be the best the Dolphins will see all season with Williams (13.0 sacks last season/Pro Bowl berth) and Jerry Hughes (10 sacks) on the ends, and tackles Kyle Williams (10.5 sacks) and Marcell Dareus (7.5 sacks/Pro Bowl berth) in the middle.’
Five reasons I’m picking Dolphins 30, Bills 20
‘The Dolphins showed an effective 5-2 defense against New England – and Buffalo would be the perfect team to use it against. Dolphins defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle should have got more credit for playing to his strenghts (defensive linemen) and away from his weaknesses (linebackers) in the Patriots game. Getting tackles Earl Mitchell, Jared Odrick and Randy Starks in the game together should go a ways toward negating the Bills running game. It also would demand quarterback E.J. Manuel to carry the load and he hasn’t shown an ability to do that (though he completed 16 of 22 passes for 173 yards, a touchdown, an interception an 91.7 rating in the opener).’

‘Spiller, Jackson and their teammates might have to work a little harder against Miami, which limited New England to 89 rushing yards, its lowest rushing total against the Dolphins in 12 games dating to the 2008 season.’
