‘”Run, run and more run,” defensive end Cameron Wakesaid. “This week may be a little different type of game, but at the end of the day you’ve got two tremendous football players, guys who can definitely when they get the ball in their hands eat up a lot of yards in one play. It’s goint to be a tremendous point of emphasis for everybody to be on their keys. Whatever your job is, you’ve got to be there and we’ve got to work together as a unit to try to corral these guys.”‘

National Fracking League
‘If Gov. Cuomo ever gets around to making a decision – and assuming it’s the proper one – our upstate counties will finally see real economic growth (and New Yorkers may see cheaper energy). Until then, we’ll have to be content to thank fracking for preventing the Bills from shuffling off from Buffalo.’
Positive week of news for the Bills
‘”I want to play today, really,” defensive tackle Kyle Williams said Wednesday. “It’s such a good week news-wise for the Buffalo Bills, for Buffalo Bills alumni with Jim Kelly, for our region with the Pegulas and going on the road and winning a football game and coming back and playing the Dolphins of all teams. I’m excited about Sunday.”‘
Buffalo Bills fans relieved by choice of new owner
‘”We’ve always had that cloud hanging over our heads,” said 30-year season ticket holder Allen Knaszak of the Buffalo suburb of Boston. “I texted my daughter at school last night and said, ‘It’s so nice to know that long after I’m gone, you and your kids will be here,'” Knaszak said Wednesday at Ralph Wilson Stadium after a stop at the Bills store.’
Emotions could run high Sunday at Bills’ home opener
‘”As far as the Pegula family acquiring the team, you have to be excited. They’re great advocates toward the region. It’s great for our organization and it’s great for our fans. It’s an exciting time and people should be excited, as they are.”‘
Whaley has made strong case to stay on as GM
As Bills stay in WNY, so do family traditions and bonds
‘So yesterday, after over 20 years of worrying about losing this team we all love so much; after 6 months of constant worrying and wondering. After a summer of hating Bon Jovi and hearing the cat-calls from people who just don’t know or get it, taunting us, reveling in our uncertainty, telling us how we don’t matter to the league and the NFL would rather be somewhere else. After all of that. It all ended. It All. Ended. Yesterday. September 9th, 2014. The day we could all finally stop worrying. Stop wondering. Start celebrating. Finally devote all our attention to the Bills on the field. The way it should be.’
BIlls’ Carpenter honored by the NFL
‘This is Carpenter’s first player of the week award as a Buffalo Bill and first since he earned the honor in Week Eight of 2010 with Miami. He really wanted to play the award down after Wednesday’s practice, “It’s nice to get recognized, but I’m just doing my job. If I get three field goal attempts, I’m going to expect to make three field goals. I don’t think it was anything real special, I’m just doing my job and doing my part to help this team win.”‘
Bills’ Rivers still day-to-day, doesn’t practice
‘Linebacker Keith Rivers was unable to participate in practice when the team took the field on Wednesday. A groin injury caused Rivers to leave, and not return, to Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears. The same injury kept the linebacker off the field to start the week, and was described by head coach Doug Marrone as a “day-to-day” ailment. His status for the team’s upcoming game has yet to be determined.’
Bills players and coaches react to Pegula
‘From a player’s perspective, they don’t follow the story, but of course want the team to stay in Buffalo. EJ Manuel said, “We’re very excited, we’re happy it was able to get done, we’re happy we’re going to be staying in Buffalo and we’re just happy for our fans right now.”‘
Nigel Bradham’s return a timely one
‘”It definitely was something I don’t want to be a part of anymore in my career,” Bradham told Buffalobills.com. “Being away from the team and away from the guys and the coaches and Sunday you have to watch your brothers go to battle without you. So it’s one of those things where you don’t want to be in that situation ever again.”‘
What they’re saying: Bills react to ownership news
‘”It’s kind of like a feeling we didn’t have. We didn’t know the whole time where it was going to go. We wanted to stay here. Everybody wanted to stay here, especially for me being from Buffalo and all my family here, everybody is here and everybody wanted that and I wanted it to stay here and I think a lot of our players did. We got what we wanted.”‘
Dan Carpenter named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week
‘Carpenter is also the first Buffalo Bills player to earn Player of the Week honors in Week 1 since Roscoe Parrish was named special teams player of the week on Kickoff Weekend in 2008.’
Seantrel Henderson on path to reclaim lofty status
‘”Cordy Glenn, he and I really clicked so he helps me with a lot of things,” said Henderson. “He’d tell me how to place my feet and how to shoot my hips and it just started getting easier. I’m more of a visual learner so watching him take his sets and make his lateral movements I tried to mirror that. He’s a good guy to look at and he’s been doing a good job since he’s been here. So that’s my guy.”‘
