Bills’ Johnson out for Week 11
‘Listed as probable for Sunday are defensive lineman Kyle Williams (Achilles) and safety Da’Norris Searcy (hamstring).’
Bills rule out WR Johnson vs. Jets
‘The Bills will most likely start T.J. Graham and rookie Marquise Goodwin at wide receiver.’
Bills’ Stevie Johnson will not play vs. Jets
‘This will be only the second time Johnson has missed a game due to injury since he has become a starting wideout in Buffalo. Without the pair, second-year player T.J. Graham and rookie Marquise Goodwin are the likely starters, with only Chris Hogan and Marcus Easley as the other healthy wide receivers on the active roster.’
Easley, Hogan ready to step into expanded roles
‘”I’ve played a little bit here and there pretty much all season, but I got a decent amount of playing time last week, so it’s a bigger load for Hogan and I and we’re next up,” he said. “So we’ve got to step up.”‘
Stevie out for Sunday
‘Johnson is hampered by a groin injury, an all too familiar ailment in the receiver’s career. He sustained the injury after making a reception in last week’s game against Pittsburgh.’
Scouting Report – Week 11
‘Buffalo’s defensive backfield was doubling as a shuffle board back in Week 3 in their first meeting with the Jets. Already without top corner Stephon Gilmore (wrist surgery), Buffalo lost number two corner Leodis McKelvin in the first half. Jairus Byrd was also out of the lineup with plantar fasciitis. Now with a healthy secondary the Bills have to not only prevent big plays in the pass game, but post some takeaways knowing they have just one in their last three games.’
Bills guarantee sellout of Jets game
‘”Mr. Wilson has again generously guaranteed the purchase of the remaining tickets for this weekend’s game,” said Bills President and CEO Russ Brandon. “As part of our Salute to Service initiative, Mr. Wilson has donated the proceeds of all remaining tickets sold to Wounded Warrior Project.”‘
Q&A with Jets writer Kristian Dyer
‘The good news for Smith and the Jets is that their ground game has gotten better over the past few weeks. As such, it takes the pressure off him and he’s simply asked to manage games.’
Hughes busts into spotlight for Bills
‘”They offered up Jerry Hughes. That was a very intriguing offer,” Whaley said. “We thought, hey, he brings a dimension that would help on the opposite of Mario Williams. It was a no-brainer for us.”‘
Jets’ Nelson looks forward to facing ex-teammates
‘Bills cornerback Leodis McKelvin said he expects it to be noisy on the field. “We’ll get to rapping back and forth, chomping at each other. I’m looking forward to going at him in a real game,” McKelvin said.’
Buffalo Bills’ Marcus Easley heads in new direction
‘”My natural position is receiver and I’m just hoping that at some point I’ll be able to showcase my ability on offense,” said Easley, who has been getting some time lately on offense due to injuries to Goodwin and Woods, and may see even more Sunday if Woods and now Stevie Johnson can’t play. “But if this is what it’s going to be, then this is what it’s going to be.”‘

Bills granted 1-day extension to avoid TV blackout
‘One option to avoid the blackout would include the team purchasing the unsold tickets. That’s already happened once this season, when team owner Ralph Wilson bought up the remaining tickets for Buffalo’s home game against Cincinnati on Oct. 13.’
Jets-Bills Preview
‘Manuel could be in for another long day with two of his favorite targets uncertain to be available. Stevie Johnson, leading the team with 41 receptions and 471 receiving yards, is dealing with a groin injury, and rookie wideout Robert Woods is likely to miss a second consecutive game with a sprained left ankle.’
