‘As a quarterback you want to just be remembered as a winner. I know they haven’t had tremendous seasons but I think Cam’s had an outstanding career thus far. He did great as a rookie and had a good season last year. Whatever your affect is: RG III is a guy who can run down the field, Andrew Luck all those kind of guys, they can still make plays with their feet, so I don’t think it’s necessarily that me, Cam, RG III, Russell Wilson, all the guys that can run. There are a lot of other quarterbacks that can make plays with their feet.’

‘Buffalo and Carolina will meet for the sixth time in the regular season this week. The Bills hold a 4-1 advantage in the series against the Panthers. Sunday’s game will mark the fourth time Carolina will have traveled to Buffalo in series history. The Bills defeated the Panthers in each of their first two trips to Western New York (1995 and 2005).’

‘Buffalo made the move after second-year cornerback Ron Brooks had foot surgery Tuesday. He was injured in the Bills’ 23-21 Week 1 loss to New England.’

‘Adams, an undrafted free agent this offseason, played four years at Michigan State where he started 39 of his 54 career games and intercepted 11 passes. He spent time with the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts in training camp before being cut by the Colts on Aug. 26. The Bills signed him to the practice squad on Sept. 2.’

‘How quickly a rookie can learn from his mistakes tells us a lot about what level of success may await that player in the future. Judging by how Manuel performed against the Patriots on Sunday, Bills fans still have every reason to be excited about him as their guy for the remainder of this season and beyond.’

‘The highly anticipated debut of first-round pick EJ Manuel (63, +2, 3.0) got off to a slow start, hit it’s climax in the third quarter and then dipped back down during the home stretch of the contest.’

‘CJ Spiller did not have a very good day in the opener. It bears mentioning that Spiller rejoined his team late in the week due to a family tragedy, and that there’s certainly reason to think that CJ can have a wonderful year. So what happened on Sunday? From the looks of it, he missed a few of his spots.’

‘When it comes to the decisions that in short time convinced me both Dick Jauron and Chan Gailey wouldn’t win here, Marrone wasn’t different at all.’

‘Smith joins the Bills after being released by the Green Bay Packers on September 1st.’

‘Adams, a rookie, was just signed to the Bills practice squad just over a week ago. The Michigan State product went undrafted this past spring and initially signed with Houston. After being released Adams (5’11” 177) signed with Indianapolis where he competed in training camp, but was cut Aug. 26th.’

‘However, Manuel’s solid showing is reason to have hope. This season will be judged on how he develops, and whether or not Manuel is a better quarterback in December than he is today.’
