‘Bills needed a bounce-back game after an awful performance against the New York Jets and to their credit found a way to eke out an improbable victory over the defending Super Bowl champs. If not for 11 penalties and three overturned replays, Buffalo could’ve won without any late-game drama. Now Doug Marrone’s young club must prove it can win on the road, Thursday at Cleveland.’

It’s a work in progress, but the Bills defense forced turnovers, sacked the quarterback and stopped the run Sunday. What more do you want out of your defense? It was a great example of why Pettine is a much different coordinator than his predecessors.’

‘The mess that is the Ravens offence has a lot of sorting out to do. But full credit goes to the beleaguered, depleted Bills defence, which got scorched last week both in the air and on the ground by a poor Jets offence.’

‘Buffalo totaled 213 yards rushing against a stout Ravens defense that had allowed just 224 in its first three games.’
