I told EJ, I said, ‘EJ it’s not a reflection on how you played. We thought you played really well for a guy that played his first NFL game.'”‘

‘Kevin Kolb moved well on his injured knee and threw the ball well. His pass to Goodwin traveled 57 yards in the air. EJ Manuel took 22 snaps, Kolb 18 and Jeff Tuel 12 in 11-on-11 work.’

‘”When you don’t win at Texas you get a lot of criticism,” Williams said recently. “We were expected to go unbeaten every year. My junior year we had an awful season and the critics were out, so I’ve been through down times.”‘
