‘General manager Buddy Nix said the cuts were made Monday with the intention of moving the team forward and freeing up spots to allow Buffalo’s younger players to step into those roles.’

‘Wilson and Barnett are two leaders on the defense. Wilson was the Bills defensive captain and their NFLPA representative. Barnett started all 16 games at middle linebacker and registered 112 tackles and 2 sacks. These cuts could be a sign of new coach Doug Marrone putting his stamp on the team. The Bills have not officially announced the the moves.
