‘”I played football in college, I loved playing it. I loved playing football, but I think I saw all the things my dad went through,” the Bills offensive coordinator continued. “I was in a locker room since I was 8. I was able to be around the guys, the guys took care of me — I was like the kid on the family. I just grew around the team, it’s all I know. I didn’t realize that. I think at the time it was ‘Oh gosh, Dad, it’s up and down. This business is crazy. We’re moving all the time.'”‘

‘Based off coaching staffs from 2012, having two coaches at that position is not all that common. In fact, only four teams employed a pair of linebackers coaches.’

‘”I’m not going into it cautiously because that’s how you get hurt, when you go out there trying not to give your all,” said Spiller. “I’m going to approach it like I always approach it, which is go out there and do my best. I’m not only representing myself, but I’m representing the organization and I don’t want people saying that the Bills players didn’t give their all. So I’m going to go out there and try my best.’

‘Whether Nassib is the answer in Buffalo, there’s little question the Bills have to do something. Even receiver Stevie Johnson as much as acknowledged that, saying Fitzpatrick shouldn’t simply be given the job.’

‘”Those are still at the top of the list and I’m spending most of my time there, but I’ll try to see them all,” Nix said.’

‘”It’s just a stepping stone,” Spiller said. “To me this is kinda like I laid the foundation down for hopefully a long career that lies ahead.”‘

‘Spiller rushed for a career-high 1,244 yards on 207 carries and six touchdowns in 2012 – the first 1,000 yard season of his NFL career. He tied Minnesota’s Adrian Petersen for the NFL-lead among running backs in 2012 with a 6.0 yards per carry average.’

‘Buffalo Bills running back C.J. Spiller, defensive tackle Kyle Williams and free safety Jairus Byrd have been added to the AFC’s Pro Bowl roster, replacing Super Bowl-bound Baltimore Ravens Ray Rice, Haloti Ngata and Ed Reed.’
