‘”My own problem is we keep doing the three-year rotation,” said Jan Layman of Warsaw. “Every three years we dump the coach, we dump the GM and we start over again. How many times are we going to do that? The winning teams aren’t doing that.”‘

Chan Gailey relieved of duties as head coach
‘His defense gave up 435 points this season, second worst in team history, and just one more point than his team allowed in 2011. They also finished the season last in rushing yards allowed in 2012 after finishing 28th a season ago.’
Chan Gailey’s statement
‘I want to thank the fans. Great Buffalo fans, a great football town. These are loyal, loyal fans and I understand that. I think that the next staff will have a great opportunity for success and to make this another great football franchise. This will probably be, and I say probably, but I think it will be the first place that’s ever fired me that I’ll pull for.’
Gailey leaves with respect of players
‘”It was a great offense to be in. It was a great offense for me,” said Johnson, who just posted his third consecutive 1,000-yard receiving season. “I’m happy that I was here. I’m happy that he came here and I was able to get that opportunity from him. My feelings for Coach Gailey are always good. He gave me my opportunity and gave me my chance and I pretty much took advantage of it. But if it wasn’t for him who knows what would’ve happened with it?”‘
Buffalo Bills sign five future free agents
‘The Bills signed RB Zach Brown, DE Corbin Bryant, DT Jarron Gilbert, OT Adam Grant and LB Brian Smith.’
Too little, too late ñ Bills week 17 report card
‘Overall this might’ve been one of Gailey’s best-coached games. Dave Wannstedt’s defense looked great against an awful offense. I was impressed that the players didn’t quit on Gailey in a meaningless game, where it appeared that the Jets quit on Ryan. It’s interesting that Ryan still has his job. Grade: A.’
