‘The Buffalo tandem of Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller combined to run for 186 yards. Jackson finished with 109 yards on 25 carries, while Spiller totaled 77 yards — 44 of which came on a fourth-quarter touchdown — for the Bills (5-7).’

Bills Win, Some People Watch
‘What happens to me during games like this one in December after I’ve given up the yearly playoff pipe dream is that any win that inches the Bills back towards the “In The Hunt” graphics on CBS tends to make me full of regret about the games that already got away.’
Sideline Reactions: Bills 34 – Jaguars 18
‘Hey! How about that? Rian Lindell hit a 50-yard field goal! And outdoors! To think, in the face of all those percentages.’
That game plan will win games
‘Chan Gailey can stay and coach for as long as he’d like if he wants to construct a game plan and run a game like that.’
Bills Go Ground and Pound?
‘As far as the season high 46 rushes for the Bills(previous high was 36 against Kansas City), I think that was a product of the weather and not some awakening by Gailey. The weather was not conducive to passing the football and Gailey had the NFL’s 7th best rushing attack in his arsenal going up against a defense ranked 29th against the run.’
Ground game carries Bills past Jags
‘”Once we found out that was the way to attack these guys and that we could, we stuck with it,” said Head Coach Chan Gailey. “The conditions made it more so. We had the lead, which helps.”‘
Russo Reaction: Bills grind out win over Jags
‘The ground game was a big part of what turned out to be a well rounded team win for the Bills. Offense , Defense and Special Teams all played a role on Sunday.’
Bills Fans Cry Foul After First Blackout Of The Season
‘Boscarino tells 13WHAM News that not providing a game for fans means a 30% loss of business for the day.’
Bills find winning formula vs. Jaguars
‘Sunday’s game was the blueprint they should have been following many weeks ago.’
Postgame analysis: Bills 34, Jaguars 18
‘The Bills remain a long shot for the playoffs at 5-7, but they kept their slim hopes alive with a victory. It’s possible that the Bills could go on a small run over their final month with winnable games against St. Louis, Seattle, Miami and the New York Jets. But they need to string two wins together before they can even think about that.’
Immediate Reactions: Bills 34, Jaguars 18
‘The Bills ran wild over the jungle cats, with Fred Jackson going over 100 yards in getting the lion’s share of the work (in a week, oddly enough, where he told the media Chan Gailey told him he’d be the No. 2 back to C.J. Spiller). The Clemson back, playing in front of his former coach Dabo Swinney, also ripped off a number of good runs as Buffalo methodically pounded, inside and out, the Jaguars defense.’
Bills Get Back On Track 34-18
‘232 Rushing Yards: They ran the ball 46 times today to 17 passes and got the win.’
Bills Put It All Together Against Jags
‘Chan Gailey finally decided to run the ball and had success. Going with Jackson more than Spiller worked since he was having a better game. They went for it on fourth down and tried a 50 yard field goal. Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks.’
Defense, run game propel Bills over Jags
‘The Bills defense was impressive throughout as they made the league’s worst offense look that way for much of the afternoon. Jacksonville converted just one of their 10 third down opportunities, and had three turnovers on downs. For the third straight game the defense also held their opponent to fewer than 90 rushing yards. It’s the first time a Bills defense has done that since the 2003 season (11/30/03-12/14/03).’
Chan Gailey: ”We are playing a lot more physical now”
‘You would like to, but there were some teams that did not let us do that as much as we would like to. You cannot just say let’s just go do that. You have to have success and you have to have a lead. There are a lot of things that go into that. It is not just saying, ‘OK we will just run it 40 times with these two backs and it is automatically going to equal a win.’ It does not happen that way so you still to strike a balance, but once we found out that was the way to attack these guys and that we could, we stuck with it. The conditions made it more so. We had the lead-which helps. All of those things help.’
