‘Tebow climbed the 50 or so steps and allowed himself to be swarmed. He posed for smart-phone pictures, accepted pats on the back and signed some autographs. That, right there, has become his only usefulness as an NFL quarterback.’

Bills rip Jets as Tebow’s time with New York likely over
‘Despite chants of “Tebow! Tebow!” from Bills fans, the former Denver Broncos quarterback was all but ignored one final time by Ryan and offensive coordinator Tony Sparano, who won’t be retained according to an ESPN report.’
Bills close losing season with a win over Jets
‘Despite the win, the Bills could only manage to match last year’s record, and they still finished last in the division for a fifth straight season. That’s led to questions about coach Chan Gailey’s job security.’
Uncertain offseasons begin for Jets, Bills
‘Despite an NBC report that he could be fired as early as Monday, Gailey is sticking with a business-as-usual plan. On Monday, he’s scheduled to address his players, meet with his coaching staff and then hold his annual season-ending news conference with reporters. The decision on Gailey and Nix is in the hands of Hall of Fame owner Ralph Wilson, who has remained silent all season. Wilson did attend the team’s holiday party in Buffalo on Friday, before returning home to Detroit.’
Bills honor fallen firefighters with decal
‘The Buffalo Bills affixed a ”WWFD” decal on the back of their helmets for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets to honor two fallen West Webster volunteer firefighters.’
Edwards gets start at receiver for Jets
‘Reserve defensive back Da’Norris Searcy is out for the Bills because of a groin injury.’
Buffalo 28, NY Jets 9
‘C.J. Spiller made two catches for 72 yards — including a 66-yard TD reception — and added 59 yards on 24 carries, while Steve Johnson eclipsed the 1,000- yard receiving plateau on the season with six catches for 111 yards.’
Postgame analysis: Bills 28, Jets 9
‘The atmosphere in Orchard Park resembled a preseason game, which was fitting considering there was next to nothing at stake for either team. There was an announced attendance of 54,533, but it looked like there was more like 40,000 fans inside a frigid Ralph Wilson Stadium.’
Buffalo doesn’t mail it in
‘The Bills gave Spiller his largest workload of the year with a season-high 24 carries. It’s about time.’
The Bills embrace change
‘The biggest mistake this franchise made was Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey anointing Fitzpatrick not only the franchise quarterback, but having no plan B if it didn’t work.’
Sideline Reactions: Bills 28 – Jets 9
‘I don’t believe what happened on the field against an injury-riddled Jets team will ultimately sway any decision on the future of head coach Chan Gailey, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, defensive coordinator Dave Wannstedt and quite possibly others. Whatever will happen over the course of the next week can’t, by a logical standpoint, point to the Week 17 win over the New York as evidence to continue with what they have. The Bills did what they’ve done all season long: beat terrible opponents. With wins this year coming against Kansas City, Cleveland, Arizona, Miami, Jacksonville and the (injured) Jets, it’s hard to see progress when the Bills can only beat teams they automatically should. What will happen? It’s unknown to this point in time. But in the grand scheme of things, keep this game out of your memory when analyzing just how the season went.’
An Open Letter To Ralph Wilson
‘I have one final piece of advice for you sir. Don’t spare any expense when it comes to the management side of things. I know you have spent gobs of money on the roster but you need to spend what it takes to get the right coaching staff in place. That’s correct, I wrote staff. It isn’t just about waving a big check at a big name head coach. You have to spend the money to find the best assistants out there too.’
Bills close out season with a win
‘Now the focus turns to any changes the Bills could make in the offseason. Head Coach Chan Gailey has been a frequent target for fans this year, as has quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Gailey is expected to address the media Monday, after the players clean out their lockers.’
