‘With Williams injured, what about Terrence McGee? Gailey said, “Don’t know what his status will be this week. He had the week off and we’ll see if he can get back to practice Wednesday or Thursday, then things are better, but I don’t know that so we’ll have to wait and see.”‘

Bills’ owner tells his coach he’s not happy they’re losing
‘There been a question for a few years about how much contact Ralph Wilson has with Gailey and others. Gailey said, “We talk once a week.” As far as the tone of the conversation Gailey said, “He’s upset we’re losing. Would you expect anything less? I mean he’s upset we’re losing and that’s made very clear and I understand, I am too so we’ve got to win and our weekly conversations will go better.”‘
Everybody Knows This is Nowhere
‘The Bills have a quarterback who starts for them, without challenge, who cannot throw the ball down the field on any kind of a consistent basis.’
Chan Gailey: ”We did not play well in the red zone”
‘I wanted to run the ball more, but what they played defensively putting seven big guys in there made it tough and makes it hard to do that. C.J. (Spiller) bounced out of there and made a couple of plays on his own. It was not set up to run the football and we were making them pay for it in the first half. The bottom line in my opinion was, they scored touchdowns and we did not score touchdowns. If we had converted in the red zone-we were down there four times (so) it may have been a 28-21 game. We have been pretty good in the red zone. Up until this game we have been in the top 10 in the league. We did not play well in the red zone.’
C.J. Spiller: ”I take advantage of every opportunity that I get”
‘I feel fine. I take advantage of every opportunity that I get. I do not sit down with the coaches and beg them for the ball. That is not my job description. My job description is to go out there, make plays and score touchdowns for the team. We have a great offensive staff that knows how to utilize players. I do not have to sit around, mope, be mad or try to go upstairs and talk to the coaches. I do not do that.’
Stevie okay; A. Williams out 2-3 weeks
‘”It wasn’t as bad as it could have been. He’s going to miss a few weeks, but it’s not a season ender,” said Gailey.’
Bills abandon run vs. Texans ó Week 9 report card
‘Gailey doesn’t seem to be able to make adjustments during a game. His offense looked great last year, but it doesn’t seem too innovative anymore.’
Williams is disappointing as Bills’ centerpiece
Bills Passing Game Earns Disrespect
‘Buddy Nix came out this week and said this team needs to have a franchise quarterback and he says he will get one for it before he’s done as the GM. That might be too little, way too late for Gailey. No matter what Buddy says about his coach returning next year, it will be a tough sell to keep the status quo if things continue on this path for rest of the year. Wade Phillips total disrespect for Fitz and the receivers is a blueprint that others have followed or will use for the future games. Maybe Fitzpatrick just isn’t capable of taking advantage of what the defense gives him, but even he deserves a gameplan that allows for adjustments to take advantage of what he will no doubt see.’
Mario turns it up
‘”I believe in it healing now instead of it just being stagnant,” Williams said. “I worked out this week finally, which hasn’t been over two months. I feel really good and it definitely boosted my morale.”‘
Bills, Gailey unable to match Texans
‘The Bills weren’t awful in their 21-9 loss to the Texans … they just weren’t good enough … offense, defense, special teams or coaching.’
Bills’ offense not up to the challenge
‘”We knew they were going to spread out,” Houston defensive coordinator Wade Phillips said. “We wanted to give them a different look they hadn’t seen. We didn’t want to let them run the football. They are averaging 150 yards a game rushing and 24 points a game. We felt like if you let those backs get the ball and get going with it … we had to stop the running game.”‘
Gailey lets Phillips box in popgun attack
Williams smiles through Houston boos
‘”The biggest thing with us is we have to do it every play, every series because we can do it,” Williams said. “It’s just us being in position and not getting too nosy and doing your job.”‘
Quarterly Report: Texans 21, Bills 9
‘The Bills came out to open the second half and ran three straight empty-backfield plays that resulted in incomplete passes. So much for balance.’
