Ryan Fitzpatrick Calls Brandon Spikes a ëPunk,’ ëTook a Cheap Shot’ in Earlier Game
‘”I think he’s a punk at times. He took a cheap shot at Scott [Chandler] in the first game, and he was doing a lot of jabbering and talking and getting out there,” Fitzpatrick said.’
Bills lament many mistakes in latest loss to Patriots
‘”Even through all that, to be right there at the wire, it says a lot,” defensive end Mario Williams said. “But if we hadn’t shot ourselves in the foot, it definitely would’ve been a different outcome. In the first half it might’ve been 100 yards in penalties. I mean, that’s crazy. We gotta play better.”‘
Fitzpatrick: Spikes is a ‘punk’ at times
‘”I think that Spikes is an emotional player. I think he’s a punk at times and took a cheap shot at Scott [Chandler] in the first game and was doing a lot of talking and hitting out there. He’s not one of my favorite players, not high on my list. I think that’s all just mentality and I think it’s important that you don’t back down from anybody.”‘
Bills Postgame Quotes – 11/11/2012
‘”It really gets old. It gets old and we just have to finish. It means we didn’t do our job. We came out in the first half and the penalties hurt us, and then when they get in to the red zone it is a short field for them. We should have held them to field goals but they were putting points on the board, touchdowns. This is getting old at some point this has to change.”‘

Brady’s 2 TD passes lead Pats over Bills 37-31
”’The only thing you can ask for as a quarterback is a chance at the end to win the game and we had that,” Fitzpatrick said, ”but we weren’t able to get it done.”’
Bills commit 14 penalties in 37-31 loss to Pats
‘The 14 penalties were the most by the Bills since totaling 15 against Minnesota on Oct. 1, 2006, and the 148 penalty yards were the second-most in team history, trailing only the 159 accrued against the Boston Patriots in 1970.’
Kelsay, Williams, Anderson inactive for Bills
‘Kelsay has a neck injury, Williams hurt his right knee the previous Sunday and Anderson had a setback from left knee surgery and missed his fourth straight game.’
New England 37, Buffalo 31
‘Following a 27-yard field goal by New England’s Stephen Gostkowski, the Bills took over with 2:06 remaining in the game. Fitzpatrick led a drive to the Patriots’ 15 before throwing the ball directly to McCourty.’
Bills’ Johnson active
‘Defensive end Chris Kelsay (neck) and cornerback Aaron Williams (knee) are inactive. Kyle Moore will start in place of Kelsay, while Leodis McKelvin gets the call in place of Williams.’
Bills Defense Fails Yet Again
‘So while Gailey makes a valid point about turnovers, he completely absolved the defense and sounded like a man who is trying to protect Dave Wannstedt and to keep from going 0-2 on his defensive coordinators.’
Sideline Reactions: Patriots 37 – Bills 31
‘It surely is a tough pill to swallow, but one the Bills will have to get over quickly.’
The final big play is rarely there
‘The biggest thing is how undisciplined Chan Gailey’s team was today. That goes to coaching. He has to have this team thinking better than that! In the first half, 10 penalties for 119 yards.’
Another trip, another loss in New England
‘I felt for Fitzpatrick in the post game locker room. Inconsistency had plagued him through the first 8 games. He had rightly been criticized for his slow start to the season, but Sunday he played well enough
for the Bills to win. Fitzpatrick completed 27 of 40 passes for 337 yards two touchdowns and an interception. It was the 8th time in his career that he threw for over 300 yards, second time this season, both against the Patriots. But when he had an opportunity to answer his critics and earn a signature win on the road.. his fault or not.. he couldn’t finish.’
