‘”The defense played outstanding,” said head coach Chan Gailey. “They did an unbelievable job. One score (allowed). They just did a super job.”‘

Chan Gailey: ”I thought this was something to build on”
‘I know the negatives. Third down. We were bad (in the) red zone. We did not get touchdowns. If we had gotten touchdowns it would not have been that close but we did not. We are kind of hot and cold. One week we are good in red zone, the next week we are not. We have to get more consistent there. It was a great effort by our football team. They played hard. I thought it was something we can build on.’
Ryan Fitzpatrick: ”We let them hang around”
‘Yeah, we struggled on third-and-short all day today. That is something that cannot happen. We have to be able to extend those drives. Four field goals in the first half. That is a game that we could have blown wide open early I felt like and we did not. We let them hang around, hang around. Then there in the second half really put it on our defense. They were playing great. Just wanted to make sure we took care of the ball. Continue to allow our defense to go out there and shine. And they did. They did a great job. We have to be able to help them out a little more in the second half. We did not do a good enough job of that. It was a good team victory today. I thought the defense played great.’
C.J. Spiller: ”We were able to get some flow going”
‘I think those guys just picked up their intensity and we didn’t. I thought from being out there, I thought their defensive line started playing a little harder than what we did and that’s stuff that’s easy to correct and I just kept preaching to my guys that we got to pick it up and that’s a good rush defense. We knew it was going to be hard, those guys are professionals, they do a good job of fitting gaps and stuff. We just got to do a better job of scoring points. We love Rian Lindell to death but the only time I want to see him out there is on an extra point.’
Jairus Byrd: ”It was a must-win”
‘Yeah it does, we dug this hole for ourselves so every game is a must win and we are approaching it as we’re kind of forgetting what was behind and saying it is a seven game season, whatever it is. We are just focusing on what is ahead not behind.’
Sal’s Six Points
‘It will be interesting to see what happens. Had the Bills pulled off the last-second upset against the Patriots, and came in 4-5 with a more realistic shot at continuing a playoff push, the crowd surely would have been rabid. Now, with spirits dampened, it may be asking too much of the beleaguered fans to get too excited about this game between two teams that are probably going nowhere.’
Bills are off the mark against AFC East
‘”It’s frustrating,” Bills receiver Stevie Johnson said. “We talk a lot about turning the corner and trying to be that team.’
It’s prime time to unleash Spiller
‘Bills 27, Dolphins 20.’
True believers search for sparks of hope
‘”It only takes a spark to start a fire,” Williams said. “And that spark is winning one game. If we can win one, I think that guys will feel good about making a run here late in the year.”‘
Prime time for Buffalo Bills win
‘”We are disappointed,” quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick said. “We are not where we want to be.”‘
Bills tix a tough sell
‘”There’s a lot of inventory to move in a short time,” Brandon said of the piles of tickets remaining to be sold for the three remaining home dates at the Ralph following the Dolphins game. “Our hope is that we can string some wins together.”‘
Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills: Who has the edge?
‘Dolphins 21, Bills 17.’
GM, coach and quarterback of 3-6 Buffalo Bills under pressure as they prepare to face Miami Dolphins
‘”We have to continue to have that mindset; continue to believe we’re not going to fail. We need to win a game and get some momentum. That’s what we’re looking to do Thursday night.”‘
McIntyre one of dying breed in NFL
‘”I’m an old-school guy and I love to hit, but everybody wants to sling the ball left and right. But I know my role as a fullback and I try to make things happen on special teams.”‘
