‘Lloyd entered the NFL as a seventh-round (237th overall) draft selection of Philadelphia in 2011. The 6-1, 247-pound Connecticut product spent the first 11 weeks of the 2011 season on the Eagles’ Practice Squad before being promoted to the 53-man roster on Nov. 29th. McKelvin named AFC Specs Player of the Week
‘McKelvin, the only player in Bills history with two punt return TDs in the same season, leads the NFL in punt return average (21.9) while ranking seventh in league kickoff return average (28.3).’
Linda Gilmore ”impressed” during her first Bills game
‘”I came up the day of the game and met a bunch of the players. I talked to Fitzpatrick, Spiller and Stephon’s other teammates,” Linda told buffalobills.com. “They stopped to say hi and have a few words with me-and that meant a lot. The team really seemed to be bonding, and were concentrated and serious. I was impressed.”‘
Bills, M&T Bank and Salvation Army gear up for cold weather with Gift of Warmth Gathering
‘To help get this year’s campaign underway, Buffalo Bills players will venture to the Salvation Army Downtown Offices at 960 Main St. in Buffalo. While there, the players will meet with 50 children from the Salvation Army to decorate picture frames and make fleece pillows. All of the children in attendance will also have the chance to have their pictures taken with Bills players, have it printed, and place it in their decorated frame to give as a holiday gift.’
Chan Gailey: ”We were more consistent last week”
‘We need to execute a little bit better. We need to pass protect a little bit better. We need to get the yards that are there. Sometimes we are not getting the yards that are there. It is a little bit of all of that. If it was one thing, we could solve it. It is not. We will play good one week and we will play not good the next week. It boils down to consistency. People ask me what was the issue with defense for two or three weeks there-it was consistency. We were a lot more consistent last week. That is why we played so much better defensively.’
Ryan Fitzpatrick: ”We are playing for our playoff lives”
‘They are all important. Our next game against a team that is ahead of us in the standings right now. We always talk about division games being two-for games and all of that but you can really put this in the same category. Just in terms of a team that is ahead of us. We need to get a win and give them a loss. That would be a very good thing for us obviously.’
C.J. Spiller: ”I will be ready to go come Sunday”
‘He and I do a good job looking out for each other out there on the field. We have a good sense of when a guy needs a break or when we are going to switch it up. That is the thing that we loved about it that they left that up to us because that is a hard decision. We have two guys that are capable of making plays that try to figure out how many times they need to touch it so they left it up to me and him, and we discussed it and I like the rotation that we have.’
Fred Jackson: ”I have been given the green light”
‘That was I think why we were so cautious in the first place, so that once I got back out here I could hit the ground running and be able to go out there and play.’
Colts Game Preview
‘This looks to be a real tough matchup. The Colts are the surprise of the NFL and are particularly tough at home where they have a 4-1 record. The Bills come in with some confidence and extra rest and practice time after their win last Thursday. This is also a game they must have and I think they will get it: Bills 28, Colts 24.’
