‘There is a big difference between 4-5 and 3-6 right now, especially with a short week and a Thursday night home game with the Dolphins on the horizon. There is no time to dwell on the Patriots’ loss because they need to start collecting some victories right now.’

Jones emerging in Bills offense
‘”Donald is starting to emerge as another weapon for us,” said head coach Chan Gailey. “So you get Stevie and Donald and Scott (Chandler) and we’re starting to develop some diversity where they can’t just look at one thing and stop one thing which is where we need to be.”‘
Bills schedule now doesn’t look so easy
‘”You focus on the next game … I think that’s the way you have to do it,” he said of trying to get his team on a win streak. “You cannot win two in a row unless you win one in a row. You cannot win three in a row unless you win the first one. “That’s our goal, to get on some kind of streak to give ourselves some a chance to get where we want to be.”‘
Spiller’s feature role comes with asterisk
‘”This is familiar territory to me. I’m not worried about how many times I touch it. Like I said [Sunday], from here on out, I’m just worried about wins,” Spiller said. “Everybody’s concerned about ‘Can he touch it 25 times?’ But at the end of the day if I do that and we lose, that means nothing. I’m just trying to help my team win so we can experience what it feels like to play in the playoffs.”‘
Gailey’s play call is why Bills lost
‘What to do with New England protecting the goal line? A natural option was Stevie Johnson, the franchise receiver, who along with C.J. Spiller in the flat was a decoy on the opposite side of the field. Another alternative was calling for a pass over the defense to Scott Chandler, who at 6-foot-7 was the tallest player on the field.’
Dolphins game sells out; last three homes games will be tougher
‘More than 15,000 tickets each still remain for the Dec. 2 Jacksonville game and the Dec. 30 New York Jets tilt. More than 10,000 seats remain for the St. Louis game Dec. 9.’
Explain another loss to New England Patriots
‘Buffalo lost for the 18th time in its last 19 games against the Patriots because it never does the little things you need to beat a superior opponent. The little things killed the Bills all day.’
Where are they now: Marv Levy
‘”He brought a certain professionalism to the Alouettes that’s still there today,” said Buono, who says his view of the game was profoundly influenced by his experience under Levy. “He expected you to be a man and take ownership of what you do. He was innovative in that he allowed guys, particularly veterans, to participate in the game planning and in calling the game. He was a delegator.”‘
Bills RB Jackson tested for concussion
‘Gailey told Buffalo’s WGR-Radio on Monday that Jackson was not feeling well on the flight home following a 37-31 loss at New England. Gailey wouldn’t rule out Jackson from playing, but noted there’s a chance he won’t because the game’s only days away.’
Bills RB Jackson to miss Thursday’s game
‘In seven games this season, Jackson has rushed for 298 yards and three touchdowns. He has also caught 26 passes for 183 yards and one score.’
Bills’ Jackson is out for Miami. Spiller’s ready
‘The short week is going to make it difficult for Chris Kelsay. Gailey said, “We’ll have to see this week. It could be yes, we’ll see how much he develops and gains confidence as the week progresses. It could be yes and right now probably 50-50. It’s complicated by just one practice. We’re not going to do much hitting at all, so it’s really how he feels. We’ll put him through some simulated things without actually practicing on the field.”‘
Spiller in familiar territory
‘”This is familiar territory to me. I’m not worried about how many times I touch it. Like I said I’m just from here on out just worried about wins. Everybody is concerned about whether I can touch it 25 times, but at the end of the day if I do that and we lose that means nothing. I’m just trying to help my team win so we can experience what it’s like to play in the playoffs.”‘
Spiller: I’m ready to rock and roll
‘”This is familiar territory to me,” Spiller said Monday. “I’m not worried about how many times I touch (the ball). Like I said I’m just from here on out just worried about wins. Everybody is concerned about whether I can touch it 25 times, but at the end of the day if I do that and we lose that means nothing. I’m just trying to help my team win so we can experience what it’s like to play in the playoffs.”‘
Jackson out for Thursday with concussion
‘”It looks like Fred will be out this week,” said Gailey. “The tests this morning were not as good as we had hoped and he had hoped so he won’t play this week.”‘
S Delano Howell re-signed to Practice Squad
‘Howell re-joins the Bills after being released from the 53-man roster on Friday, Nov. 9th. The 5-11, 201-pound Stanford product signed with Buffalo as an undrafted free agent in May. He saw action vs. Cleveland (9/23) and posted one special teams tackle. He was inactive for six games.’
