‘There is a big difference between 4-5 and 3-6 right now, especially with a short week and a Thursday night home game with the Dolphins on the horizon. There is no time to dwell on the Patriots’ loss because they need to start collecting some victories right now.’

‘”Donald is starting to emerge as another weapon for us,” said head coach Chan Gailey. “So you get Stevie and Donald and Scott (Chandler) and we’re starting to develop some diversity where they can’t just look at one thing and stop one thing which is where we need to be.”‘

‘”You focus on the next game … I think that’s the way you have to do it,” he said of trying to get his team on a win streak. “You cannot win two in a row unless you win one in a row. Another alternative was calling for a pass over the defense to Scott Chandler, who at 6-foot-7 was the tallest player on the field.’

‘More than 15,000 tickets each still remain for the Dec. 2 Jacksonville game and the Dec. 30 New York Jets tilt. More than 10,000 seats remain for the St. Louis game Dec. 9.’

‘Buffalo lost for the 18th time in its last 19 games against the Patriots because it never does the little things you need to beat a superior opponent. The little things killed the Bills all day.’

‘Gailey told Buffalo’s WGR-Radio on Monday that Jackson was not feeling well on the flight home following a 37-31 loss at New England. Gailey wouldn’t rule out Jackson from playing, but noted there’s a chance he won’t because the game’s only days away.’

‘In seven games this season, Jackson has rushed for 298 yards and three touchdowns. He has also caught 26 passes for 183 yards and one score.’

‘The short week is going to make it difficult for Chris Kelsay. Gailey said, “We’ll have to see this week. It could be yes, we’ll see how much he develops and gains confidence as the week progresses. It could be yes and right now probably 50-50. It’s complicated by just one practice. We’re not going to do much hitting at all, so it’s really how he feels. We’ll put him through some simulated things without actually practicing on the field.”‘

‘Howell re-joins the Bills after being released from the 53-man roster on Friday, Nov. 9th. The 5-11, 201-pound Stanford product signed with Buffalo as an undrafted free agent in May. He saw action vs. Cleveland (9/23) and posted one special teams tackle. He was inactive for six games.’
