‘The Bills may not be worse than they were when Gailey took over in 2010, but they certainly aren’t much better.’

Gailey facing criticism over play calling
‘The Bills came into the Texans game ranked No. 4 in the NFL in rushing and 29th – fourth from last – in passing yards. So what did they do against a quick-strike offense? Run the ball even more than usual to eat up clock? Of course not.’
We Are Who We Thought We Are
A secondary problem for Bills as they prepare for Brady & Co.
‘Complicating matters is the uncertain status of veteran Terrence McGee, who missed the Texans’ game and has been a part-time player all season following surgery last season to repair a torn patellar tendon in his left knee.’
More questions than answers
‘Did Shawne Merriman play Sunday? Did I miss something?’
Gailey surprised by report on Mario’s wrist
‘”I haven’t heard anything about that,” the Buffalo Bills’ coach said. “I don’t know where that came from, but I’ve heard nothing of that sort.”‘
Outer harbor stadium would be a game-changer here
Can the Bills still make the playoffs despite a 3-5 start?
‘This 2012 season has degenerated into another disturbing disappointment. If I was physically capable, I’d kick myself in the butt for even entertaining the thought back in training camp that this team could finally break through.’
Bills second-guessed for abandoning run in loss
‘Coach Chan Gailey was on the defensive answering questions of why he abandoned the run in favor of a passing attack that ultimately lacked finish in a 21-9 loss at Houston on Sunday.’
Bills DE Anderson has setback after knee surgery
‘Coach Chan Gailey said Monday that team doctors haven’t ruled out Anderson requiring what he called another ”procedure.” If that happens, Gailey said Anderson would miss about three weeks.’
Fitzpatrick continues to fade for Bills
‘Fitzpatrick played terrible during the second half of 2011, though broken ribs had something to do with that. This year, his health is fine, and he simply isn’t playing well enough to give the Bills a chance to succeed.’
Bills’ Aaron Williams may be out a few weeks
‘With Williams injured, what about Terrence McGee? Gailey said, “Don’t know what his status will be this week. He had the week off and we’ll see if he can get back to practice Wednesday or Thursday, then things are better, but I don’t know that so we’ll have to wait and see.”‘
Bills’ owner tells his coach he’s not happy they’re losing
‘There been a question for a few years about how much contact Ralph Wilson has with Gailey and others. Gailey said, “We talk once a week.” As far as the tone of the conversation Gailey said, “He’s upset we’re losing. Would you expect anything less? I mean he’s upset we’re losing and that’s made very clear and I understand, I am too so we’ve got to win and our weekly conversations will go better.”‘
Everybody Knows This is Nowhere
‘The Bills have a quarterback who starts for them, without challenge, who cannot throw the ball down the field on any kind of a consistent basis.’
Chan Gailey: ”We did not play well in the red zone”
‘I wanted to run the ball more, but what they played defensively putting seven big guys in there made it tough and makes it hard to do that. C.J. (Spiller) bounced out of there and made a couple of plays on his own. It was not set up to run the football and we were making them pay for it in the first half. The bottom line in my opinion was, they scored touchdowns and we did not score touchdowns. If we had converted in the red zone-we were down there four times (so) it may have been a 28-21 game. We have been pretty good in the red zone. Up until this game we have been in the top 10 in the league. We did not play well in the red zone.’
