‘Meanwhile, the problem of declining population and collapsing economy remain in the greater Buffalo area. And, there’s a recent rumor that suggests the 40-yard old concrete at “The Ralph” might need refurbishing in the hundreds of millions of dollars to survive another decade. Then, too, will the Bills even be in Buffalo for the couple of years required for a new stadium to be built. They could be LA-bound well before that.’

‘The Bills have 11 takeaways thus far this season and Jairus Byrd and Bryan Scott are responsible for eight of them.’

‘The league got involved in the saga last week, fining the Bills $20,000 for not properly reporting Williams’ injury, which it called a sprain.’

‘The land is currently owned by Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority. The city of Buffalo and the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp. made purchase offers for the land last month.’

‘Organizers may have spent time and energy drawing up architectural plans, but they’ve done little to draw in potential stake-holders, having consulted with neither state leaders nor – remarkably – the Bills themselves. That’s no way to unveil any proposal, let alone one with a hefty price tag.’

‘Did team doctors diagnose the need for surgery? Did they perform whatever the “procedure” was? Was it done in Buffalo, or in Houston? Was it done Tuesday or Wednesday? And what is the exact nature of the injury?’

“My career was stripped away from me from this injury, unexpectedly. Some people think I’m supposed to be happy all the time. Put yourself in my shoes. Or put yourself in anyone’s shoes who has had some life-changing injury come their way. Tell me how you’d feel. People don’t understand that. They just want to hear the good stuff. It’s kind of weird that people don’t have common sense to see it’s not that easy of a situation to read. But God let it happen for a purpose. And I know the purpose. It’s to use my life as an example, to open up eyes about this injury. That’s why I talk about it.”‘

‘Coach Chan Gailey provided the update Wednesday, saying he expects Williams to return to practice next week once the Bills return from their bye weekend off. Gailey, was otherwise, very short on specifics in sharing any other details regarding the status of the NFL’s highest-paid defensive player.’

‘Bills coach Chan Gailey said Wednesday that Williams, one of the club’s marquee free-agent additions, had surgery to relieve discomfort in the wrist and expected him to be a participant in practice next week.’

‘There’s no question Williams has played poorly this season. Will having this procedure done help him mentally to get back to where he should be? Gailey said, “Every advantage you can get mentally for every player is great. Everything that makes them feel better about playing, it helps.”‘

‘Levitre is the only semi-surprise of that list, but it could very well just be a case of giving him a rest day heading in to the four-day break. He is the only player to have taken every offensive snap for the Bills this season. Chan Gailey said, “We rested Andy today. He had some extra work done on his so we just held him to give and extra day’s rest. That’s where you try to take care of these little things.” Levitre will practice on Monday.’

‘Hasiotis says, “The kind of guys that do the bonding, they’re working on it for Oakland, people that have worked on Indianapolis and Dallas. You know Jerry Jones put up, it’s been over $2 billion dollars. You know at lot of it his own, but he did it completely on his own. He didn’t allow the NFL to participate at all because he could do it. Every venue, every site is different but you know what I wanna do. Ron, I think the best way to answer some of these questions is we’ll get HKS in town in short order in the next few weeks.’

‘There is not enough time, but you do not ever try to make drastic changes during the season anyways. I think there is a lot of stuff that we have done well. There is stuff that we obviously have not, with turnovers being a big thing. You just look at all of that and figure out how you are going to get better.’

‘Just kind of getting the hand of things. Starting to get a little bit more reps and just really have to go out there and execute with the amount of reps I get.’
