‘Cardinals 17, Bills 10.’

‘”Just the health of Fred and C.J. has been a little bit of an issue with them not being 100 percent the last two weeks,” said Ryan Fitzpatrick. “I think it will help us because they’re healthy now. We’ve got to plug in some pieces up front, but that’ll be one of our main challenges this week, getting the ground game going and getting those guys their touches.”‘

‘”I’m excited about this week. I think we’ll do very well with the game plan. We’ll see what happens.”‘

‘The Bills signed Wells to a free-agent offer sheet in 2006, but the Cardinals matched the five-year deal.’

‘”To me we’ve played pretty good in the first halves of both games but we just lost it in the second half,” Gailey said. “We just need to go play in the second half like we did in the first half and we’ll be alright.”‘

‘”He’s going to be out I don’t know how long,” coach Chan Gailey said. “They’re (the doctors) going to tell us after they go in and look at it. But he’ll be back. It’s not like he’s going to miss the rest of the season.’

‘”Obviously living here I’m pretty excited to stay in Arizona,” Fitzpatrick said. “You’re not happy to get on a plane and fly back to the East Coast and then get on one again and fly west. I think it will benefit us.”‘

‘It is a unique situation for me to be able to spend some time at home with my family during the season in Arizona. Monday and Tuesday were nice, but now it is really getting down to business again. Really focusing in on this week–the game plan and studying the Cardinals a little bit.’

‘Nix said Anderson is visiting specialist James Andrews to determine the severity of the injury.’

‘”We have to figure out what in the world is going on from the first guy to No. 11 on defense,” said defensive end Mario Williams, who has managed 1 1/2 sacks after signing a six-year, $100 million contract to leave Houston.’

‘Anderson has 12 tackles and a sack through five games for the Bills this season.’

‘An injury to Williams has not been mentioned until he missed practice on Wednesday, though it seems to be a simple case of a veteran player getting a day off to start the week. After practice, it was revealed that it’s an ankle injury, and one that the defensive tackle does not expect will keep him out of practice on Thursday.’

‘The Bills were pretty much toast at halftime in San Francisco because of their inability to hit big plays, and San Fran’s ability to hit theirs. It was an absolute blowout at QB, at CB, at scheming, and execution. There’s a reason the 49ers were one win from the Superbowl and the Bills are…well…where they are.’

‘The defensive end was one of the two prized additions in the off-season by the Bills, coming to the franchise as a free agent by way of the New England Patriots. In 2011, Anderson racked up 10 sacks throughout the season. However, he’s failed to live up to perhaps lofty expectations through the first five games of the season with Buffalo, registering only one takedown of the quarterback.’
