‘Williams intends to appeal the fine, questioning what he did wrong when attempting to make a tackle while Brady still had the ball.’

Bills-49ers Preview
‘Part of that means Fitzpatrick has to make better decisions, as his seven interceptions are among the most in the NFL. However, he could be under plenty of duress as the 49ers’ defensive front will face a Buffalo line without injured starters Cordy Glenn and Kraig Urbik.’
Gailey says Kaepernick makes 49ers prep tougher
‘”Yeah, it’s a lot,” Gailey told reporters as his team prepares for Sunday’s game. “That puts a lot of stress on your defense to prepare for that week in and week out. He’s done a good job of running what they’ve put in and done a good job of keeping it varied so it’s not the same all the time.”‘
Bills’ Mario says wrist injury has hampered him
‘”It’s just a little deal going on, but we’ve already mentioned that before. It’s just lingering a little longer than I expected and I just (need to) get back out there and just try to deal with it and play better with it.” Williams added, “I’m a hands on player and it’s all about power in my game. It’s just been a little odd just having a little knick or whatever and not being able to use it to the full extent but you know, you gotta play. When you’re out there on Sunday, you gotta play regardless of what’s going on. If you’re out there on the field, you’ve got to make it happen. So, I think the biggest thing is just finding ways to heal and get out there and play at full speed. It’s definitely frustrating for it to happen when it did happen and not when anything counted, I think that was the biggest thing. Coming out of the fourth preseason game and that happening with the whole wrist and everything, but it’s fine, like I said, it just limits you and it is kind of frustrating.”‘
Bills’ Williams fined $15K for hit on Brady
‘”I don’t know,” he said. “I don’t know [what he could have done differently]. Other then let him throw the ball, I don’t know. I could understand if I dove at him head first and hit him, or hit him behind the legs and dove with him with a shoulder. But I hit him with my arm. And you know, you get a $15,000 fine for hitting a guy with the ball. I don’t get it.”‘
Bills’ Byrd won’t practice
‘Chan Gailey believes Byrd should be ready for Sunday, “He won’t practice today, but I think he’s going to be fine for the game.”‘
Upon Further Review- Bills OL & DL vs Patriots
‘It’s been two bad, and two good games so far for Marcell Dareus.’
Nagging wrist slows Super Mario
‘”I am a hands-on player. It is all about power with my game,” said Williams. “It has just been a little odd having a little nick or not being able to use it to the full extent. You have to play. When you are out there on Sunday you have to play regardless of what is going on the field. You have to make it happen. The biggest thing in just finding ways to heal and get out there and play at full speed.”‘
Bills Ready For Western ”Road Trip”
‘Head Coach Chan Gailey said he had a conversation with this week’s opposing coach, Jim Harbaugh of the 49ers about taking this unique step in travel. The Niners just completed an Eastern swing where they played in Minneapolis (and lost) but then spent the week practicing in Ohio before heading to New Jersey where they crushed the Jets 34-0. Harbaugh said it was helpful to his team to avoid a pair of 6 hour plane rides and the Bills see it the same way. If the Bills play well, especially in Phoenix next Sunday this will look like a wise move. If they don’t then it really won’t matter how much jet fuel they saved this week .’
Bills on traveling to San Francisco, facing 49ers
‘I am a hands-on player. It is all about power with my game. It has just been a little odd having a little nick or not being able to use it to the full extent. You have to play. When you are out there on Sunday you have to play regardless of what is going on the field. You have to make it happen. The biggest thing in just finding ways to heal and get out there and play at full speed.’
Ryan Fitzpatrick: ”This will be a big game”
‘Yeah, we are ready to hit the practice field and go. I think it is human nature to still be pretty disappointed about it. Disappointed about my performance. I think everybody is disappointed in their performance and how we played in the second half especially. It is human nature. That game happened, you cannot just erase it from your memory. But we are professionals and we are going to move on. We have to because we have another great opponent coming up this week.’
Chan Gailey: ”I can coach better”
‘On assessing Williams’ performance: He is trying to play the best he can play, that is for sure. I think what happens a lot of times is that there is a great deal of respect for him. They chip him and put a couple of guys on him. Bang him around in there. Can he play better? Yeah, he can play better but there is a lot of guys that fall in that category. There is a lot of guys that can play better. I can coach better. Everybody can do better.’
OL Stephens to Practice Squad; WR Aiken released
‘Stephens entered the NFL as a seventh-round (228th overall) draft pick of Cincinnati in 2010 and spent his rookie season on the team’s 53-man roster. The 6-3, 325-pound Iowa State product was released prior to the 2011 regular season and joined Chicago’s Practice Squad on November 9, 2011. He spent the 2012 training camp with the Bengals before being released prior to the regular season. Stephens will wear No. 62.’
