‘”The only way to beat them is to rattle No. 12,” Williams said, referring to Brady. “I’m looking forward to this game. It’s definitely a prime opportunity.”‘

Bills RB Jackson expected to play against Patriots
‘Coach Chan Gailey provided the update after Jackson took part in most of practice Thursday. It was his second straight workout since he was hurt in a season-opening loss at the New York Jets.’
Bills’ Spiller returns to practice
‘He did work off to the side with the Bills’ strength and conditioning staff on Wednesday, and was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice.’
Bills’ Jackson returns to practice
‘Jackson did participate in some capacity and is hoping to return for Buffalo’s key Week 4 battle with fellow AFC East member New England on Sunday. The veteran back has not played since leaving the Bills’ season-opening 48-28 loss at the New York Jets on Sept. 9 in the second quarter.’
Bills’ Jackson seems good
‘Chan Gailey was equally as optimistic, “Fred worked and worked well today. There didn’t seem to be any residual effect negatively from yesterday.” When asked if the runningback went most of the way Gailey said, “Yes, he was in at the very end. I think if we make it through the next couple days and things continue to improve, I think he’ll have the opportunity to play.”‘
Bills’ Jackson & Spiller both practicing
‘”We’ll see how it goes. The main thing we don’t want to do is rush it,” he said. “It’s only Week Four, we’ve got 16 more and plus if we want to get in to the postseason. We’ll do it day by day and see what Sunday holds.”‘
How to Attack the Patriots Defense – what the numbers say
‘First, the Pats are a much better team against the run than they are defending the pass. They’ve only given up 82 yards a game on the ground (7th best in the NFL), but have given up 262 yards a game through the air (24th in the league). So let’s start there. As well as the Bills have run the ball, the stats show that will be a lot tougher to do against New England than it has been the first three games. They may have to rely more on Ryan Fitzpatrick and the passing game in this one — especially, obviously, if Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller are both out or are extremely limited.’
Gailey: Barring setback Jackson will play
‘”Fred worked and worked well today and didn’t seem to have any residual effect negatively from yesterday,” said Gailey. “He was in at the very end of practice so I think if we make it through the next couple of days and things continue to improve then he’ll have the opportunity to play.”‘
Patriots Game Preview
‘Patriots 38, Bills 17.’
Shawn Powell signs deal with Bills, is expected to start on Sunday
‘Powell said the Bills contacted him on Monday afternoon and informed him that they wanted to fly him to Buffalo for a workout in front of team officials. Less than 24 hours later, he was in Buffalo, doing what he does best: Punting the football. Needless to say, the Bills were impressed with what they saw. After the workout, Powell said he was told by the Buffalo officials to “go ahead and call your agent, and tell him that you’ll be here (in Buffalo).”‘
Powell focused on opportunity
‘After he was cut at the close of the preseason by Buffalo he was told to lose some weight and keep improving his consistency.’
Bills have their work cut out for them vs. Pats
‘The last time the New England Patriots lost three straight football games, Buffalo Bills cornerback Stephon Gilmore was a 12-year-old sixth-grader.’
Moorman lands with Cowboys
‘It took all of one day for Brian Moorman to find another job in the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys confirmed Wednesday evening that they reached a contract agreement with the 36-year-old punter, released by the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday.’
Releasing Moorman a gamble
‘The Bills had their reasons, no doubt, for cutting punter Brian Moorman, a two-time former Pro Bowler and a team captain, and replacing him with a rookie who has never kicked in a regular-season NFL game.’
Moorman’s replacement grateful for opportunity
‘New Buffalo Bills punter Shawn Powell said after practice Wednesday his predecessor, Brian Moorman, helped him make the adjustment to the NFL during training camp and preseason.’
